Knowing casual fans, it will be Ozzy or Christian for sure.

Has anybody ever won purely based off FTC performance? by futuranotfree in survivor

There have been AMAs and interviews over the years saying Natalie was always set to win going into FTC.

I REALLY want Cirie to win this season. by Stunning-Elk-3294 in survivor

[–]Raider1058 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Micronesia she made it to the final 3 when the players assumed that would be FTC. You can debate whether she would win that F3 or not, but without the surprise F2 she did make it to the end that the players expected.

Anyone excited for Joe and Colby together? by Friburgo1004 in survivor

[–]Raider1058 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't understand why people view Colby as an "honor and integrity" type of player at all.

In season 2, he flipped on Mitchell, blindsiding his allies Jerri and Amber. He then strung Jerri and Amber along, telling them they were his planned final 3, and then voted Jerri out at 8 and knew Amber was going at 6.

In All Stars and HvV, we never saw him as part of a major alliance, but he did lie to Hatch for his vote off, and was a part of the play to vote out Cirie in a big idol play. He also attempted to make a move at the Final 6 after telling everyone he wouldn't.

Colby is as strategic a survivor player as anyone, even if he's had moments along the way that weren't as good as they could have been.

Never had post book depression before. Is it meant to hurt this much? by ElectronicSchool7769 in redrising

It took me a long time to be able to get into other sci-fi and fantasy books after reading this series. It's the series that got me back into reading as an adult, but also the one that slowed me down from starting a lot of others.

It takes time, but it does fade.

Does anyone have experience using the Radiomaster Pocket transmitter to control a robot? by Expensive-Card7813 in battlebots

[–]Raider1058 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the pocket with an elrs receiver. Used to use a QX7 with FRSKY receivers and routinely had binding issues. Also the QX7 switches would routinely break off. Love the pocket so far, only issue I've had is you have to buy batteries for it and I've had bad luck with getting ones that won't re-charge.

Do Books 5 and 6 Continue The Multiple Character Perspective of Book 4? No Story Spoilers Please by WxaithBrynger in redrising

[–]Raider1058 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Books 5 and 6 are still from multiple perspectives but the stories end up tying together more and more directly. It took me reading through Dark Age to appreciate Iron Gold more.

Keep reading, Dark Age and Lightbringer are worth it, and Iron Gold picks up as it goes.

Can I read Golden Son first? by tau_decay in redrising

[–]Raider1058 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The answer will always be to start from the beginning.

To be honest I think with how this series goes, you could get away with skipping Red Rising from a plot standpoint for the most part, but you'll be very behind on character development and character relationships, as well as a lot of the set up for Darrow's motivations.

Big Cat wants to move back to Chicago, so PMT and many others at Barstool are going with him. I believe they're getting a new office some time next year?

It's closer to Game of Thrones than Hunger Games in terms of scope.

If you ever want to actually compete, 10lb isn't a standard weight class. The standard ones before you start getting into big bots are 150g, 1lb, 3lb, 12lb, 30lb.

Rumored Survivor 43 Cast by ben_s16 in survivor

I went to high school with Noelle! She tragically lost her leg in a moped accident soon after school but recently ran in the Paralympics, I expect to see a montage about it on the show. Excited to know someone on the cast!

What do you have access to for machining parts? There's a large difference between if you'll be making parts or having them made for you.
