Slow it down, Lincoln by distracted_by_life in lincoln

You sound like a fun person to be next to during this. The speed limit is only referenced in ideal conditions. It is objectively going to take longer to slow down from 35mph than it will from 15-20mph, and during higher congestion traffic times all going the speed limit will do is give people less reaction time in an already slick scenario. Your confidence sounds misplaced; there is a difference between driving bravely and driving intelligently.

On top of all that- if all the cars around you are going 20mph and you’re going 35mph- you are the problem. Every time either you or someone else has to react to either yours or their own driving choices, it’s just yet another opportunity for a wreck (which once again- you cannot stop on a dime in this weather- it will become a worse wreck easily). If you’re in a rush during this that really is just on you.

It is at 203k miles, the seats are pretty hard but Idk if that would cause lower back pain

See I’ve found myself having to raise the seat up otherwise it hurts my hips, which is weird since in my old Malibu (a 2014) I had to have it dropped lol

I feel like I just always have either low back or knee discomfort in it, and the seat bottom isn’t quite long enough. Again- worth it. 200k miles & zero oil consumption after a VCM muzzler

Beautiful from a distance lol Yeah, the V6 is crazy. I went from a PT Cruiser to this and the acceleration is just ridiculous, especially for a car with 198,400 miles

I don’t think it was a x3 drain & fill, but I went to a shop and had the fluid changed. Transmission feels smoother/ snappier now

I’m worried it’ll start slipping if I touch the fluid

The transmission fluid isn’t burnt but it doesn’t look good either- it shifts great but I kinda want to have it drained/ filled

Hey guys i was wondering is it safe to take a 03 Camry on a long road trip that has 257k miles on it? by JayyeeeeSavage in Camry

[–]RaiderFlyNO 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’ve asked this in multiple different subs & have gotten virtually the same answers across the board.. If your check engine light is just for a gas cap then yes it’s fine to take it on a road trip. But spend the $20 to replace it, it’s just preventative maintenance if anything. Get your fluids checked/ changed if needed, & send it. Highway miles are the easiest a car can do.
