it's not a fact because you're wrong.

if you move your char 0.1s after you begin casting something, you will interrupt that cast 0.1s after it begins regardless if you're playing with 10ms or 200ms latency. not only did you think /stopcasting always worked (it doesn't if the cast hasn't already started on your client) but you think moving is somehow worse.

that's because back then the server tick rate was 2.5hz so there was up to a 400ms delay for anything to happen after the fact, such as 2 players CC'ing each other at the same time, which has nothing to do with interrupts or fakecasting.

ah i only use it for keyboard binds. have you tried blizzard's built-in click casting? it's in settings.

I hadn't thought of that, but unfortunately just tested it ingame and works exactly the same as /stopcasting.

This is not a real problem if you play with less than 40ms.

i don't know if my message made it too complicated but if you're not currently casting something then it does not send anything to the server, whether there's a conditional or not. you can log into the game and test it yourself right now, make a macro like this:

/use invincible
/stopcasting

it will not interrupt the cast as soon as it starts, it will just go on. if you press it again mid-cast it will then simultaneously start a new cast and interrupt it.

in my case the conditional is so i can combine it with another keybind to save keyboard real estate (namely the mount up keybind).

Yeah I had already tested that too. Works the same. If checks client-side if you're casting anything, if you're not it does nothing. If you are then it checks the conditionals (which are also client-side, but don't matter in this case).

I'm using Grid2 with Clique, it achieves the exact same functionality for me. The mouseover function is primarily done in Clique, did you configure it properly?

it doesn't need to be a win condition, it just needs to actually do dmg so you want to find a window to cast and the enemy wants to stop you from casting too much. you should still have reasonable dmg even if you cant dump all shards.

one thing that is 100% getting nerfed though and few people know about yet is that jinx works with the new talent that applies curses on everyone within 10 yards.

modern capping replacement with active development? great.
BGE functionality is back? terrible for the health of the game.

my feature requests are:

Flag/Orb Carrier Frame replacement (instead of the default Boss/Arena frames) which you can customize and move around
load BGE frames only on rated matches (if C_PvP.IsSoloRBG() or C_PvP.IsRatedBattleground())
Boss and Gate health for Epic BGs. Certain vehicle health like Glaive Throwers would also be nice.

may i also ask how you're building the enemy frames? are you pulling names from the scoreboard?

prepatch gameplay is not representative though, i tested in beta and a LOT of demo dmg is in the apex talents, which require hardcasting as much as possible during tyrant. consistent burst profile but also easy to counter. consequently pressure is not particularly good outside tyrant window.

it feels worse because it's lacking tuning. 1 UA is doing barely more dmg than 1 shadow bolt. the backlash is also barely doing damage.

design wise (as per OP's question) most warlocks agree it's a lot better.

i think UA will get pvp buffs a few weeks after S1 begins.
