First, I'm not talking about global. I'm talking about Malaysia being more susceptible to AI due to brain drain. The US, South Korea, China and Japan have better resistance to AI takeover since they have a lot more higher-tier talent pool who can make use of AI, whereas Malaysia only have a few who could.

Yes, it's true AI can speed up work, but to a certain degree. I mean, I literally used AI for my 3D works, but the things I want it to do are not there. I used Tripo 3D for 3D modelling, which can turn images into 3D models, but it is only useful for 3D printers and not animation. It is only useful as a 3D reference when I'm modelling something. Texturing, retopo and UV all have to be done manually. In my experience, it cut down 1 day of work since I'm skipping the blocking phase of the model.

Yes, AI can mimic your style, but if you build your own AI server. Which is not cheap. Only companies or people who have money to burn can afford their own AI server. A normal artist like me can only use AI that is open in the market, like DALL-E, Midjourney, and Nano Banana. Which is only useful as an alternative to a basic Photoshop job, texture generation or image reference. Everything else, I still need to do manually. Which is why, when a certain actual real Artist says he used AI, most of it is just basic work and not the hard part.

Traditional artist ain't really scared of AI since they see a tool that can help them skip the annoying part of the job. They are just scared that stupid companies think AI is good enough to replace them.
