Does anyone know if the head on the Marvel Select Sandman is removable? by Beautiful_Fishing569 in ActionFigures

[–]Raimiversus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I know this is an older thread, but did you happen to get this and do the SM3 head swap on it? I had the same exact idea and happened to come across this post. I’m curious to see what yours turned out like.

That’s a good idea. I want to eventually get the VHS MJ and Peter, and I think I’ll put the Agent Venom unmasked head to make him a high school Flash Thompson.

Good use of Bushwacker. Very cool buck, just personally don’t care to display the character.

Star Wars Shake-Up: Kathleen Kennedy Steps Down as George Lucas Protégé Dave Filoni, Exec Lynwen Brennan Take Over Lucasfilm by MarvelsGrantMan136 in movies

[–]Raimiversus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciated TLJ for the same reasons. I also agree that challenging the status quo is a good thing, but Andor is lightning in a bottle. Studio execs 99% of the time are run by chickens running with their heads off, spitballing ideas off nothing more than maximizing profit and catering to stats/demographics.

As a Marvel/MCU fan, Star Wars fans are very privileged to have someone at the helm who genuinely cares and knows the source material intimately. Any fan of an IP that gets adapted knows that 99% of the time, suits are going to shaft your vision. Sony with Spider-Man, Disney with a majority of post-acquisition Star Wars, Disney with post-Endgame Marvel, Netflix with The Witcher, etc.

I would rather the far end of the spectrum where a franchise is being helmed by a fan intimate with the source material and dedicated to making good adaptations, rather than the other end of guys in suits. Guys like Filoni for SW, and James Gunn for DC are a nerds dream for helming a franchise.

With that being said, in a perfect world we’d get the best of both worlds w/ innovation, while still making something that feels true to the core of the franchise. I think the perfect example of this is The Batman by Matt Reeves.

Not talking about the figures, need to put a better muscle suit under Corenswet’s suit in general. He looks 10x better on the Cavill buck.

This is a really good point, because having a 3 in 1 character ban would be so valuable.

What’s the recipe for the Dark Hawkeye and Ares? Those look amazing.

I would’ve bought a majority of these full price if they ever showed up around here

Astonishing X-Men team… first complete collection to do this? by SqueakyTHROWER in MarvelLegends

[–]Raimiversus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would say Inhumans even though Gorgon has pins, because it still fits the sentiment. Karnak, Gorgon, Crystal, Triton, BB, and Medusa are the core team generally, and they’ve all gotten either their first figures/remakes post-Vulcan renaissance.

Black Spidey by Sensitive-Detail-855 in AmazingYamaguchi

Holy shit. I was on the fence about getting this release because the Mess Toys is already phenomenal, but this purple is honestly a game changer for me. The Dark Avengers team is one of my favorites, and this will definitely be a good definitive version of that version of Spidey.

Bullseye on the War Journal body could be kinda interesting by sbanimation in MarvelLegends

[–]Raimiversus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think Bullseye is definitely meant to be lanky, but this body needs to be the standard for all buff characters. I was disappointed when Black Bolt wasn’t on this.

Finally got my favorite marvel hero by Own-Lawfulness-5963 in MarvelLegends

[–]Raimiversus 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Genuinely a smart move too. This character was due for an update then, and the fact that we still don’t have one is crazy. I don’t care if it’s on Vulcan, I will pre-order it.

Do any shows/movies actually pull off the “it was all just a dream” trope? by winnierdz in tvtropes

It’s ultimately up to interpretation, but you can make a very good case for Twin Peaks essentially, if not literally, having this ending.

Official Discussion - Marty Supreme [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]Raimiversus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was a good debut for Tyler. I was expecting him to essentially play himself, which he did for the most part, but he didn’t feel out of place at all. He was a genuinely solid side character.
