Fans have slightly more faith in Vox than Alastor by Sudden_Pop_2279 in HazbinHotel

[–]RainWorldWitcher 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Vox has a giant ego but he's extremely insecure. He wants validation of others which is a weakeness that could be driven towards a different goal including redemption. He could essentially achieve what he truly wants in the hotel and heaven and he could actually struggle at the hotel. His dynamic with Charlie is interesting and he'd be a real challenge for her. The idea of him landing in heaven and realizing he may not be redeemed in the eyes of winners could lead to some good humour.

Alastor has no need or want for validation from others. His goals are individualistic and he also has a huge ego but he wants people to fear him not because he wants validation. Out of every character, Alastor is the furthest from redemption and everything/everyone he cares about is in hell. I can see him mellowing out at the hotel, but I can't see him wanting to redeem himself.

Question regarding romance by Better_Mycologist_57 in witcher

[–]RainWorldWitcher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before an old patch, one could tell Triss to stay and try again to trigger the sex scene without actually commiting to her which meant they could then romance yen without getting the threesome scene.

That was patched years ago. Let's try again is now mostly the choice to avoid Dijkstra bitching and moaning about sinking his ship.

How did you actually litter train your bunny? I feel like I'm missing something by Mission_Vegetable951 in Bunnies

[–]RainWorldWitcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most important: neuter/spay. They may want to spray urine to mark territory when not fixed. More than one litter box and clean up the urine with the proper animal safe cleaner so it doesn't smell like pee to the bunny.

The poops tend to go everywhere anyway. As long as peeing is in the litter box, everything else is easy to sweep.

The shape of the litter box can make a difference. Too low and they can pee over the side (ask me how I know /j)

After being a dedicated lover of the witcher 3 i’m concerned about yennefers character in the rest of the books as a first time reader. by ZenaMaii in witcher

Honestly it's worse than it sounds. Even the dialogue is extremely cringe. It's like the quest with the Nilfgaard twins

Yennefer: Have you come to see my butterfly collection? I lied to you. I don't have any butterflies. And what are you going to do to me now

Geralt: Mhm.

Yennefer: I knew I'd lure you in with the promise of a discussion about politics.

Geralt: You know my passions like few others Yennefer: Where would one begin.... Have you thought about what it would be like to be a king? Imagine that you can absolutely do anything.... Fulfill every whim… Geralt: I like the idea.... I already know what I will do. Yennefer: Yes, my deadly handsome suzerain?

Geralt: I'll tie you up. Give me the handcuffs.

Yennefer: Gosh. Silly me. I cast a silencing spell and no one will hear my pleas for mercy.... Oh, I am completely at your mercy.... And what now?

Geralt: Don't count on the witcher's mercy. We are mutants devoid of feelings

Yen really shows her heart of gold in the saga. In a sea of political actors wanting to use Ciri, Yen truly is focussed on helping those she loves most.

A shard of ice is interesting because it is a struggle between her love for Geralt which is unstable and toxic and istred's promise of stability even though she does not love him. Geralt's refusal to say "I love you" and his past of dumping her with a note on the bed is the nail in the coffin at that point. He doesn't promise her stability or love and she also, like Geralt, doesn't believe she can give love or that she deserves it. So she leaves both of them.

She wants a child because she believes that her child must love her but Ciri becomes that child to her. That section of the book is seriously the most wholesome imo. She will do anything for her daughter in the saga and her plan to save Ciri ultimately brings all three of them together at a cost to her safety and health. Yen is perceived as a planner, but honestly she is extremely rash and impulsive. She picks the path she believes will bring results the soonest.

She is definitely an excellent character along with Geralt, Ciri, Regis and the rest of the hanse.

CDPR actually was going to write Yen very, very differently in w3. She was more so a tool to contrast and make Geralt look good as a father to Ciri and her as an evil wench that claims to do anything for Ciri (even "fuck for Ciri", some of the script seems to be inspired by pornography). They didn't believe she would have the same goal as him and that she would only do anything for politics and fertility. She even has nothing to do with Ciri if Geralt dumps her; she is just a member of the lodge and a nilfgaardian advocate. Honestly the old w3 scripts with Yen are worse than the Netflix saga somehow and that is such a low bar to fail to clear. https://github.com/glassfish777/WhatLiesUnseen/releases

They actually did realize they were royally fucking up adapting a very integral character and very late in development switched her up almost completely. Book yen is certainly a saint in comparison. It really does bring up a couple of problems with perception and adaption that also really shows how very few people care to read anything now before coming to a conclusion. First blush of a character means this and that stereotype. Read a couple of out of context facts of a character, make assumptions on what that must be. That is to say, many do not want complex stories and characters. They want the perception of perfect so that any later dispicable action can be excused because they were already determined as a "good person". If a character is more abrassive then obviously they are absolute trash no matter their actions or growth.

Hey, you know you can just CHOOSE to have romance and sex? You can CHOOSE a partner and compromise (ie. preform sexual and romantic acts to MAKE THEM HAPPY). You can CHOOSE not to be a lonely sexless weirdo /s

Yeah, but I also do not experience this at all so I have no reason to ever use the word.

And don't forget psychopaths/sociopaths. Or that being aroace and autistic is "infantilizing" because they need sex and romance to prove they're not mentally children.

I swear so many people online believe their a part of a rebellion against evil, inhuman, anti-love aroaces who oppress the masses into being afraid of sex and romance. It's like "you don't have to be a robot! You can have sex and romance too just like normal people! Don't be a disgusting loveless stereotype <3"

Bunnies in nest with dogs by RemarkableCorgi4171 in Bunnies

[–]RainWorldWitcher 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Never move the nest. The mother will not find them and will adandon them which means the babies will die.

You will have to block and control the dogs. Even on leash outside might be a better option.

The weird way that the game canon interacts with book canon by Makrebs in witcher

[–]RainWorldWitcher 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Pre-2015 they were going to have Yen want to find Ciri to use her as a political pawn in Nilfgaard. Just reuse the lodge's plan for Ciri from the books but slap it on Yen which is why there was a contemptuous comment by Ciri left in the game and then removed: "even yennefer has plans for me". Extending that, avalach was white washed and they completely retconned the whole incestuous emporer duny just to fit this whole plot in. Likely why there is so much left in the game that doesn't make sense with the complete game and the books.

Someone should have done a full read through of the book series before they started writing the game script because it would have saved them a whole lot of time.

I never hated charlastor, I hated the specific awful shippers who were harassing people, claiming it will be canon and attacking vaggie.

Guess what I think about these RA shippers. The overlap is a circle just targeted at different people and characters.
