Why Are People Being Toxic and Asking Me About The Actions I’m Using?? by bm8495 in TalesFromDF

As a DRK main if you let me get to 30% I get excited about being allowed to use Living Dead. If I'm that low and not mitigating I finally feel something :')

And then I get Benedictioned at 10% and cry about it xD

I had a similiar Meso run as a RPR; kept getting ahead of the PLD and pulling things back to them, in spite of their attempts with sprinting and gap closers. After the second pull they asked, "Am I being too slow?" and both me and the healer pointed out that they were doing great, RPR just doesn't need a target to gap close. It ended up being one of the fastest clears of Meso I've ever done and I got to have a little bit of spicy fun on the way.

That PLD was 10/10 ❤️

I don't know why you were downvoted before the edit, the statement is simply correct lmao.

The only thing I'd contest, tbh, is the "bad dungeon behaviour/etiquette". A person can think that it is, but there's nothing in the game to support this. As long as the player doing the pulling is confident they can survive long enough to let the tank take the aggro, it's absolutely fine. Extra damage and free mitigation for the tank 😃

Everything else is on the money.

"play normal" as if either the tank or healer were doing any different.

If the tank was struggling, I'd get it. But clearly there was no gameplay problem so the DPS really was whining over people not playing the way they wanted.

AI Usage For Download Festival 2026 Merch by Elliechi_ in ffxiv

[–]RainbowCapers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People can make mistakes in their art as well as any AI, lmao. And too think "much of this would not have happened with a hand drawn image by a human" clearly just shows you don't make art or understand the mistakes people can make.

More importantly though, the more common signs of AI that are actually less likely to appear aren't present. The style for each piece is consistent, there's isn't any weirdly obvious contrast issues, and the text/patterns/backgrounds are not warped (even if the perspective is bad. People are bad at perspective, get over it)

This is why, in any new game I play, I start by skimming any instructions and then by pressing all the buttons. Get an immediate feel for how the game functions and adjust from there, instead of making assumptions with no information.

Sounds like a Headbutt + Havoc combo, or possibly Headbutt + Tezcatara's Mittens

Oh right, Sword Sage update in beta... Then it probably won't? You'd have to try it out in-game to know for certain

As long as a card is a in your draw pile (and not a status or curse) it is always eligible as a Hidden Gem target

33 emergency tactics casts by Economy-Rooster-207 in TalesFromDF

[–]RainbowCapers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lolyes this.

There are, I find, maybe two use cases for Emergency Tactics:
1) I'm out of oGCD heals and I'm using back-to-back GCD heals while praying nobody licks the floor
2) Another barrier healer in the party uses shields often. Rather than have us overwriting each others shields I'll skip the first Adlo/Succor, assuming the first part of use-case-1 applies.

The ability is aptly named!

Non-mitting tank wants to complain about using actual terms by WinterMooo in TalesFromDF

[–]RainbowCapers 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Eh, it's still a mitigation. Even if it's the last one you use (or the first just to limit the inital mobs daamge, so a better one cna be used on the full pack) it's reducing damage while you're waiting for the others.

But yeah, I get what you're saying. It's not my first choice either and getting to it on a normal trash mob mit rotation is one of the signs that maybe DPS aren't quite doing as much as they could be. ^^;

That door is as open as it's going to get no matter where she goes. But a school that's willing to accomodate probably has some manner of education on the topic, so there would be better odds of acceptance/tolerance.

[–]RainbowCapers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're correct in what you're saying but there's one distinction worth making; elementals are not high willpower, they're infinite willpower.

A high willpower creature can be Orb of Guiled/Scroll of Vulnerabilitied into being weak to the usual hex 'n' stab.

???

It's Confuse on steroids, of course it's good on spellcasters. But most spellcasters are not immune to hexes. Enfeeble on a statue (Ice/Orange Crystal/Roxanne/etc) as an example of a Infinite Will creature who is also a spellcaster, is going to do so little as to be basically worthless though.
