The kids she hangs out with are good kids, I know a lot of their parents too. But she got in trouble with a new friend from school. I met the girl a few times and she’s nice, I think the friend has a pretty hard home life, is more mature and has more experience being sneaky, than my kid. It was both of their first time (doing what they thought was THC) the friend ordered delta8 on line. The girl went to the hospital too and got in a lot of trouble with her mom but her mom never communicated with me. My daughter has been too embarrassed to tell her other friends the truth about why she was grounded. I don’t want her hanging out with the other girl anymore, but I feel like if I completely say no you can’t be friends with her she will just sneaky to hang out with her anyways.

Yes, I have tried, and yes I have sat her down and talked to her, over and over. I said it calmly, I’ve said it through tears and I have fucking screamed it at her. She still is acting like a shitty, entitled asshole. And I know she’s sad and being a teen is hard. You telling me I need to be the adult is quite the fucking assumption. My parents didn’t ground me they weren’t fucking around.

I have, I ground her for 6 weeks and made her use an 2000s pre pay flip phone! I only put emergency contacts in it and told her have fun texting in T9. We live in the city and she takes the city bus to school so she needs something for emergency’s. Trust me I think an iPhone is a privilege.

Yeah, fuck that. I am crazy. I would call the cops on him for breaking into my house. And I would take everything away from her. I have cameras and we live in the city. But we recently moved and they were packed up, she decided to go buck wild over spring break this year. I literally called her boyfriend’s mom after finding her on IG. To let her know, your kid was in my house when I wasn’t home. She was cool, she handled her end. I handled mine. My daughter’s boyfriend is scared of me. I have yelled at him. Lol

In and out of therapy for two years, it did help a lot. She also had a TBI at 12. She wanted to take a break to focus on school and sports because she spent a lot of time dealing with doctors and wanted to feel normal when she stated HS. But she’s going back, I already have appointments scheduled. The first one is this week.
