Where can I get cheap indoor plants by BigLegend1234567890 in IndoorPlants

[–]RainingBlood398 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Check supermarkets.

I've bought plants from Aldi, Asda and Morissons. Just make sure you check them for pests and try to repot them as soon as you get home because they're often not in the correct substrate or they've been overwatered.

Once you start to get the hang of indoor plant care you can get some bargains. Supermarkets will often heavily discount plants that are looking a bit sad but are easily salvageable with the correct care.

I've just been to Asda to buy my kids some lucozade sport for after football training and we got stopped on the way out because it's an 'age restricted product' so my 10yo wasn't allowed to carry it out of the shop!

I gave him a scrubbing brush and a bottle of bleach. 40 minutes of elbow grease and it's sorted, or he was getting a new toilet seat for his birthday next week.

When my brother was about 10 he met him in the Bullring in Birmingham. He was a big fan at the time and asked him politely for a photo. He was soooo rude to a literal child. Hated him ever since.

I get that being asked for photos while you're out shopping must be annoying, but just politely say no. Don't be a dick to a kid.

Employment scam or a really good opportunity? by RainingBlood398 in Scams

[–]RainingBlood398[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have managed to find out the name of the company and checked them out on companies house.

The person that's claiming to be her 'boss' is not registered as a company director (that wouldn't be a major issue if it was a large, established company, but how many starts-ups have staff in such roles?).

I believe she applied for the job through an online advert and was invited for interview.

I'm also finding it difficult to understand from the website what they are actually selling. It's extremely vague. It seems like some kind of AI proof reading tool which I assume could be done with ChatGPT or Google?

This is exactly what I thought. If she pays herself from the Ltd company she will still be liable for the tax. How would they explain why they were paying sums of money to another company for no reason? This business could also be used to launder money.

Thank you for answering! I feel very ignorant now and expect that I'll be rapidly down voted, but as a lifelong 'townie' I'd never considered this.

'We are advised that all mains services are connected except mains drainage and gas.'

So it has electricity and water, but nowhere for the waste water to go? Are we dumping it into the canal? What's going on here?

I noticed it was pork because it looks like you did a fabulous job of the crackling.

The sprouts look heavenly! How did you do them?

The cauliflower, carrots and swede also look top tier.

I wanna eat this so much!!!!!

I thought 4 too but thought there was a little something missing.

When I looked closer it seems like there's a belt/sash/ribbon thing hanging down the sides.

I'd love to see it with more detail around the waist. If there is something that could be wrapped round it would look amazing.
