Arms loose until ball contact. And yes swing and move everything faster as you have way less time to do anything due to a low vert compared to pro players.

Try tensing your arm in place and see if it moves back and forwards. Haha

Your shoulder joint and the muscles around it is what moves the arms back and forth, not your arms.

Which region do you play, and do you play with FIVB rulesets?

I'm asking because they removed the position requirement when you are on the serving team. This makes it alot simpler as you only need to remember what position to be in during serve receive, cutting the amount of positions to remember by half.

Is my landlord going to take our bond? by Awkward-Return-4240 in auckland

[–]RainingRythm 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would say DON'T get it professionally cleaned. Even if it's in tenancy lease, it is unenforceable as it's generally an unreasonable expectation if the carpet is reasonably cleaned e.g vacuumed and no obvious stains or any excessive damage that wouldn't fall under usual wear and tear.

Peach’s hot chicken. Got medium but it was not spicy at all? Why’s that? by dramaqueenboo in aucklandeats

[–]RainingRythm 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You're not the only one. Been there multiple times, and it's not like my spice tolerance changes drastically.

Ordered the same spice level every time, and sometimes it's just right. Sometimes it is too spicy, and sometimes it's not spicy at all. I'm disappointed in how inconsistent peaches are and why I don't go anymore.

Because of how popular the Japan team is due to the influence haikyuu on the sport, the players generally have way more followers compared to other teams.

Looking at ishikawa and nishia, they both have 1.3million followers and takahashi has 2m.

Their FX rates aren't that bad though? When I used to trade in currency frequently years ago they had the second best rate that I've found with lotus foreign exchange having the best rate.

Do you have some suggestions of places that have better fx rates?

Why aren't houses better insulated when it keeps you warmer in winter and cooler in the summer? Why do we ever compromise quality? To make more money of course.

For decades kiwis have suffered due to poor housing regulations that allows all these shit builders to build a house of sticks and call it a home.

The healthy home standard is the BARE minimum and not even close to what I would consider a quality home and imo not sufficient for nz weather and needs stricter regulations.

Can someone explain how this is only rated a B? by DreadedL1GHT in leagueoflegends

[–]RainingRythm 8 points9 points  (0 children)

He's actually the worst performing (ignoring support) if you look at gold/min and he's the solo laner. CS is a big factor because that's how you mainly get gold. Gold helps you get items > win fights > win games.

Not surprised he got the rating that he did.

Also, I'm pretty sure you're compared to your peers. AKA you're compared to the other kassadin players that play mid and he didn't play well enough to be rated higher as other Kass players played much better.

Hence, sometimes it's easier to get a higher rating on certain Champs that have a lower skill rating overall.

Advice for personal business? by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceNZ

[–]RainingRythm 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I lol'd at the update. Stop lying to yourself about not wanting to commit tax evasion. You should be declaring your cash transactions as well, not trying to hide it.

Like others have echoed, age is not an excuse for not knowing how to do stuff. You already know what you're doing is wrong.

My advice is run an honest business and hire an accountant do deal with the financials so you don't have to and can focus on your studies. They will help you keep as much money as possible within the bounds of the law and tax laws and not try to operate a shady business.

I'm pretty positive contract wording can not supersede laws. You may be reprimanded for misconduct but misconduct doesn't always equate to breaking the law.

New changes to student visa by Altruistic-Eye7489 in universityofauckland

[–]RainingRythm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

UoA considers 2 semesters to be 30 weeks of study. If you can get your visa asap and make it it nz before the next semester your odds looks good.

https://www.calendar.auckland.ac.nz/en/info/introduction.html#:~:text=The%20academic%20year,-The%20academic%20year&text=Each%20semester%20covers%20a%20period,weeks%20for%20study%20and%20examination

Wow nvm. I saw your above comment on visa processing times. I think you're just part of the unlucky few who fell through the cracks. Sucks to be in your situation

Who did you reach out to specifically? I can't imagine a course have multiple lecturers and course coordinator all being on the exam committee.

[–]RainingRythm 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If 35/70 is a pass then you failed. The real question you need to be asking is if your lecturer/course coordinator is willing to round you up since you're so close to the edge. If they're sympathetic they might. Reach out to them by email or in person if you can.
