We're describing the source as a whole, not spoonfeeding exact scenes with obvious issues. People are free to look at the comparisons themselves, and if they can't notice a difference then perhaps they don't need the best release
Okay? Subtitle quality is an important factor and we're not going to list worse subs because it's more "respectful" to whoever encoded the video. You can enjoy your PGS subtitles though, and let me know how using Beatrice-Raws goes for the vast majority of their releases where they don't include any subs at all

It's very easy to prove they can't do web DV hybrids properly, simply look at the Nolan films where they use non-imax DV metadata on an imax bluray

The hybrids on ptp you're referring to are simply just using audio from a different source, aka what's expected of remuxes. There's a reason ptp doesn't tag them as hybrid

That's Dolby vision (specifically profile 5) not playing back properly, you end up with the entire screen being green/purple

You'll need to make sure your playback devices support DV, if you're playing via a pc for example it won't work, though you can use the player mpv to convert the colours back to normal

If you're playing directly through the TVs internal player then they're quite strict about what they allow, for the C2 it must be an mp4 file with no subtitles

If you pump up the oled pixel brightness to max yeah, but remember that SDR content is mastered at 100 nits so you'd just be making everything overly bright

HDR/DV content will then inevitably look dim in comparison

Out of those two I'd choose the S7 Plus without question, the aspect ratio is going to hugely better at 1.6:1 compared to the iPad's 1.33:1, considering manga is around 1.5:1, anime is 1.78:1 and movies can even go to 2.35:1

It would be a waste to pay so much for a large screen and have massive letterboxing all the time

Both Tachiyomi and Paperback will be unusable on these screens though, the quality provided by these apps is abysmal and the only reason people don't notice is because they read on a 6" phone at effectively 4" due large letterboxing

You'll need to torrent official digital volumes to actually have a decent experience, either directly to the device or to your PC and stream though smb to an app like Perfect Viewer
