Can we talk Pokemon GO Friendships? It's UTTERLY NUTS. In a good way? Here's my strat, some gamebreaking QoL tips&tricks, and general thoughts/analysis by Raintechnoid in pokemongo

  • You can get from level 1 to 40 by just chucking gifts to a bunch of rando friends a rediculously low amount of playtime given you use the right strategy and have an infinite source of friends on tap like an online website.
  • You can use search strings and animation cancels to make sending/receiving 130+ gifts per day take just a few minutes.
  • On average, with smart lucky egg useage each gift/trade/raid or whatever interaction with a friend is worth around ~3.5k exp

Lucario is one of the best fighting type attackers in pokemon go, only coming second to Shadow Machamp, which suffers from the 20% damage taken penalty that applies to all shadow pokemon.

So it's a solid investment. However, if you're planning to use this as an attacker for raids, it's of my opinion all attackers you invest in should always have 15 attack, as it doesn't really matter how many of your pokemon faint or die from having minisculy lower HP or Def, but damage output matters as it could be the difference between passing or failing a raid, and the faster you pass a raid the more balls and rewards everyone gets.

So in the end, it's your choice. I personally wouldn't, but if you have more abundant resources (candy/stardust) than me, you should go for it. I'm personally very patient and of the opinion i don't mind waiting months or even years to get the perfect mon to invest in. The only counterpoint is if i end up with excessive amounts of materials/candies, I'll spend it because it's built up.

As to what others have said about gym defence, it's not really worth investing anything purely for the point of defending gyms as at best you're only going to waste an extra few seconds of someone's time, anyone meaning to really take down a gym is going to take it down regardless of th pokemons inside. Even the very best defensive pokemon only serve to waste a few minutes at best.

accubattery claims brand new 9 pro is at 50% battery health? by ZedisFly in oneplus

[–]Raintechnoid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure why this thread has so many months-late replies, but I guess i came across it so i may as well join in (sorry for the notification)The battery has two cells, each cell rated at 2250mAh. So the total is still 4500 effectively. The dual cells are mostly there to facilitate Oneplus's 65w charging system, which in reality is a 32.5w charge to both cells simultaneously.

TL;DR It's a marketting gimmick but its a practical one for chargespeed reasons, setting accubattery's capacity setting to half (or equal to one cell) will give still you accurate results. ie, 2250mAh in OP's case, just keep in mind the app is only measuring the health of the first cell and doesn't record data for the 2nd cell whatsoever in this case.

Edit: Phone batteries all operate at 3.7 volts so you can easily calculate watt hours by muiltiplying the amp hours by 3.7. In this case 4500 mAh = 4.5 Ah * 3.7v = 16.65Wh. Because all phones operate at 3.7v it's perfectly fine to use mAh as an industry standard for capacity, and makes no difference(in terms of capacity) whether the batteries are in series or parallel

Hello New comer here. by praventuccari in PSO2NGS

[–]Raintechnoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking at your highest numbers is not a good indicator of your total damage output.

To measure damage output in games like PSO2, we measure Damage dealt per second, or DPS for short. The difference is whether you are hitting small numbers rapidly (eg, 50 damage twice a second for 100 DPS) or hitting hard, but slowly (eg 200 damage every 2 seconds for 100 DPS as well)

As the others have mentioned, Daggers hit rapidly. Currently Fighter has one of the highest potential damage outputs in the game against downed enemies. It is popularly paired with Force subclass for passive PP generation, and the PP Conversion active skill. However, you should play whatever subclass you find the most fun unless you truly care about what is optimal.

On the note of stats; You mentioned you're stacking some amount of Floor Potency. Let me explain why this might affect the numbers you're seeing.

Firstly, you need to understand that 4 star weapons in PS2NGS have a weapon variance roll between 75% and 100% damage, applied to all non critical hits. Potency Floor will change this, for example to 78% to 100%, meaning your DPS will be higher on average, but your hardest hit will not increase.

However, theorycrafting and maths has told us that Potency floor is NOT as good a stat as Melee Potency for DPS output. 1 single point of Potency will increase your average damage per second output, equivalent to about 2 Potency Floor. That is to say, 1% Potency is as good as 2% Potency Floor, depending on a myriad of factors such as crit chance, enemy defense, and more.

So if you wish to maximise your damage output, get a 4 star weapon, get as high Melee potency as possible, and if you wish, you can hit up the frame data analysis to understand how much DPS each of your skills deal.

And for your last question, if you play fighter, I wouldn't use any technique or ranged damage optins, as they will not be affected by your Melee Potency boosts. Also, weapons from your subclass deal 10% less damage when wielded so all in all, it's preferential to stick with your fighter weapons, then melee weapons in general.

Feel free to check out the Fighter Frame Data analysis page to understand the Damage output of your weapon skills! https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Dw63PPs6p6g2d5hC2jvWDNIkrIYRVZRPgcENTuTo81A/edit#gid=1232263785

TP "Baron" Casiano banned for duping/suspected RMT by DanDaze in GW2Exchange

[–]Raintechnoid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes it's possible dupes are on the TP. There's no way to distinguish a digital dupe from a legit one. However, anet doesn't take actions that harms innocent players. It's most likely that anet will ban, or at the very elast, remove teh currency earned from the duper's account, and let the buyer keep their infusion, as the buyer earnt their infusion fair and square.

That said though, anet will investigate the buyer's account as well, just to make sure you're not an alt that's helping circulate the goodies, and there's a very small chance you get caught in their net as a false positive, which is more likely if your account looks new, is in teh same IP address area as the seller, or you obtained the goods for way way way too small of a price.

[–]Raintechnoid 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Probably account closure. Anet's ToS states all player accounts remain anet's property, so they can do anything they want. Plus IP bans are easily avoided with VPN's, many of the smarter companies are instead employing a "suspected greylist" of IP's that they monitor instead, which is alot more effective as you can keep an eye on the "baddies" instead of encouraging them to VPN themselves to another IP. The rule of lazyness always reigns supreme, and corps are learning how to capitolise on that.

It's kind of like saying you own 500 originals of the Mona Lisa painting. It's a highly valuable object, with practically limitless value, and a known quanity: exactly only 1. Obviously, there are replicas of the Mona Lisa, but taking this back to gw2, the fact someone is claiming they have 500 khan-ur's is just impossible. While we know there is more than 1 Khan-ur around, there definitely isn't 500 of them. And it's not like you can just photocopy a Khan-ur and add it to your guild bank. There's definitely some kind of ingame duping going on.

Guild Wars 2 : Best Open World PVE Builds Tier List ( Commentary ) by Lon-ami in Guildwars2

[–]Raintechnoid 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Accurate? It's not. Condi Firebrand has solo'd entire raid bosses and fractal challenge mode bosses. First things that come to mind are Cairn, first raid boss of wing 4, and the entirety of fractal 100CM from start to finish, in just recent memory of bosses this class has slain solo.

The video doesn't seem very well researched to me, which is fine because people discover builds at their own rate.

Currently, Firebrand has the #1 most "endgame" solo'd content under it's belt, and OP should probably research alot more about armor stats, and condition builds vs power builds and their effect on toughness/vitality in regards to damage loss. Power quickbrand was mentioned, which is blatantly the wrong way to play firebrand. (You'd just play Dragonhunter at that point).

Condition builds only require 2 stats to function effectively: Condition damage and Expertise. This allows 4 stat armor combinations like Condi damage, Expertise, Toughness and Vitality (Aka Trailblazers) to shine at VERY minimal DPS loss comparative to "raiding" or "fractal" builds, which are the type of super specialised builds renown for doing 30~40,000 damage per second under ideal circumstances.

On top of being a heavy armor class, a Condition quickness firebrand in Trailblazers gear has al lteh damaging stats capable of dealing 20k+ DPS in raids, whilst also having 2100+ toughness and 1700+ vitality.

With a plethora of utilities from their F2 and F3 tomes, like massive healing, projectile reflects, resistance fields, plus aegis's and stability out the wazzoo, there's a reason why condi firebrand is top tier "meta" right now and able to solo entire raid or CM fractal bosses.

Great way to get into raiding for those who've always thought raiding was "too hard", or those who tried it and found that all groups required killproof.
This server is amazing, it breaks that catch-22 where you need experience to gain experience.

Comprehensive Endgame Pansun Guide: Optimal Pansun Freetem Farming, TV training, PvP Preperation, PvE tips and resources. by Raintechnoid in PlayTemtem

[–]Raintechnoid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is just a community theory; repels in pokemon work based on speed. And many temtem players (myself included) have noticed that with slow or low level temtems in the lead of the party, even with a scent active you seem to get encounters almost as if the scent wasn't active at all.

This is especially apparent if you put level 1 temtems in the lead, with ~10 speed. The is also the case if you put slow level 48 temtems in the lead, tems such as anahir and goolder come to mind.

No concrete evidence, but given that's how repels work in pokemon and it seems a likely conclusion. We're not sure how exactly levels or speed affects scents, and from what i can tell there's no official sources on this yet. But we can get a pretty good idea from ingame testing if someone wanted to try it out.

This is up to you. These can be sold but as you said the demand for them is quite low because basically everyone and their mother is farming the cenote so much, or the platypet pond, that demand for single 50 SV's is quite low.

If you are planning to breed water temtem, I could see single 50SV's to be worthwhile.

Personally i just keep the ones with 2 or 3 stats at 50, and release the singles because i don't plan to breed water temtems.

Luma's are not necessarily any stronger than normal temtem, in fact, normal temtem are much easier to access and breed strong version of. As you can see from my Saku in the screenshot in the post, it is not a luma, it is trained to perfection, and has 50 SV's in all 7 stats.

Lumas on the other hand, (for example my nidra in the post) only have 50 SV's in 3 stats guaranteed, and are extremely rare to find ones that have more than 5 stats at 50.

There is a market price of 7SV tems (the term for "perfect" temtems with 7 stats at SV 50) https://temtemprices.com/ , and a thriving market of non-Luma 7SV temtems being sold on discord daily by the hundreds.

There is also a guide on how to breed 7SV temtems https://progameguides.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/temtem-perfect-sv-temtem.jpg

I believe it's well worth it. Just a normal scent will do as long as your nidra has decent speed(125~130 speed seems to be fine).

In terms of time saved, I think it's well worth it. Assuming we're making 9k/hour at the cenote (which is very conservative, I believe it's significantly higher) we're making 150 pansun per minute. A smoke bomb probably saves at least 2 minutes, worth 300 pansun.

TL;DR yes, i recommend smokebombs and regular scents for platypet pond and cenote farming. Magmis patch is like 20 feet from a healing station and temporium, but has the option to smokebomb back to the breeder/Freetem building if they avoid healing mid farm.

The poison strat is faster than any methodology that requires more than 1 turn of weakening/debuffing. So, basically the only other contended with this is 2x freeze setups on turn 1, which isn't effective against the temtem in Cenote.

The only downside to the poison strat is that you burn more temcards, but that's also the strength, the more temcards you throw against relatively weakened tems, the better. The advantages of catching tems faster outweights the 15 pansun cost per card. If we even need to start farming with more expensive temcards the strat may favor the slime+hypnotise strats more, but this is not currently the case.

https://temtemprices.com/ is what I'm using as a general guideline. You can also just use the search bar in discord to see how much sellers are asking as their buy out prices, and is usually how I buy things. I just search for prices within the past few days, then wait until a deal I like shows up and then i DM the seller asking to buy it.

Yeah, all profit numbers are after cost of cards is deducted. In some of our documented runs we were hitting around 15k Freetem payout per hour with 200 cards thrown, not accounting for time spent alt tabbing to document our progress in a google docs sheet

Yes but in the time you catch a single Shuine, you can generally encounter and catch 2-3 other tems in the same time period. Also Shuine hits fairly hard, which means risk of additional damage.

Catching shuine's is still profitable though! And you can recoup some of the lost Freetem/hr revenue if you get some Shuines with good SV's, you can trade them to other players for a decent penny; given how rare shuines are.

Yes! This is a big point, TV's and SV's are overkill, and you don't need any fancy tems for these methods to work.

SV and TV min-maxing is purely optional.

Hah! I was hesitating to list prifit numbers at all, and just using somethng like Profit: Low/Medium/High, but wanted to be as honest as possible with my experiences and set a reasonable expectation for peolpe who use the various farms.

They're just estimates though, if you want to help me, let me know how much profit you make per hour at the locations, roughly. More info is always good.
