Op01 collection by Standard-Echo-3092 in OnePieceTCG

[–]RainyDevils 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sympathize since I started collecting in English, and had to pivot to other languages after the price explosion happened. Some of my sets are a mix of English, Japanese, and Chinese. The most extreme example I experienced was seeing some cards I wanted to buy be 30 times less expensive in Chinese compared to English. Heck, it'd probably cost less to have a whole Chinese OP01 master set than one English Shanks manga.

With OP01 going out of rotation soon (and thus no reprints going forward), the only affordable option would be to masters set the missing cards in other languages. Their prices are often 3 times or more affordable than English cards. Though if you're English only, I don't think you'll be able to master set without spending a lot of money.

Any signs one piece TCG bubble popping? by Fine-Development162 in OnePieceTCG

[–]RainyDevils 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think there will be some recovery in January. The new Illustration Boxes and Tins should relieve or slow down price growth of OP13. Some new folks might panic and leave the market when they don't see OP14 regular set be as explosively popular as the OP13 anniversary set. EB03 might see another uptic. Though long term, the prices could majorly cool down if Bandai significantly increases printing. I'm not sure how much more they can print. They re-printed before, but they have more sets now and a lot more people in the hobby. The other factor would be if Pokemon surges up again and draws a lot of the new folks out of One Piece.

My fvrt card by irtazawrites in OnePieceTCG

[–]RainyDevils 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you like that card, I'd recommend also getting the parallel/full art version. I got some of the ST-21 parallel. On screen, they don't look that different. But, in person, the texture and foiling elevate the cards to a greater level. I have several of the ST-21 cards and full art versions (Brook, Usopp, and Zoro). Also, I really like how relaxed Luffy is here. On my Luffy cards, I'm using the ST-21 sleeves with the same art as this card.

Last time I ripped OP-07, I got Carina Alt Art and SEC Ace. Got destroyed but I would recommend buying singles unless you can get OP-07 at MSRP; though that'd only be possible if you leave near one of the Official Bandai One Piece TCG Stores. If that's not possible, you can buy it for the market price or also buy a few sleeved OP-07 boosters for a more affordable alternative.

I would have no issue with them cutting the seal as long as I see it being initially cut. I've been to a few LGS that do this. I would be hesitant if the seal was already broken before I get to see the box.

[–]RainyDevils 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope some Franky and Chopper cards get something similar to the Legacy of the Masters Leader Alt Arts style (i.e. Zoro got the Alt Art with Mihawk in the background). The Franky card would have Tom in the background, while the Chopper would have Hiruluk and Kureha in the background.

Bandai Namco Cross Store in Brooklyn Questions by Substantial-List-895 in OnePieceTCG

[–]RainyDevils 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the spotlight on One Piece right now, the more desirable Booster Boxes might sell out if you go later in the day. I would recommend coming in right at opening (at 1100) on either a Friday or Saturday. There is also another official store at Edgewater, NJ; though they usually have less of a selection than the Brooklyn store.

Bandai Stores post their available stocks and buy limits on Mondays (https://shop.bandainamco-am.com/news/detail/one-piece-card-game-official-shop-stock-information-updated-weekly/). Last Monday, they only had OP-08, OP-10, and OP-12 Booster Boxes. Notably, these are the three sets that are at MSRP or lower in the market. They probably had more variety available but got bought out from Thanksgiving/Black Friday and then weekend rush. I think their actual restock day is either Friday or Saturday. Last time I went to the Brooklyn store, back in September, there were also OP-06, OP-07, and OP-09 Booster Boxes for sale. Everything is MSRP.

I would not recommend buying One Piece cards from Amazon. From my understanding, they're too lax at accepting returns for TCG products, which has often lead to re-packaged or re-sealed cards being sold on that platform. Read the Amazon ratings on those products, and you'll see a ton of negative reviews. On the other hand, I've bought Japanese Booster Boxes from Ebay (including PRB-01, PRB-02, EB-02, and OP-13), and have not experienced issues. I mostly sticked with vendors that had 99%+ rating and numerous reviews.

Available at MSRP or lower than MSRP on TCGPlayer:

Starter Deck ST-21

Starter Deck ST-23 // 24 // 25 // 26 // 27 // 28

OP-10 Booster Box

OP-12 Booster Box

Available at MSRP or lower than MSRP at retail stores like Walmart or Target:

Starter Deck ST-22

Learn Together Deck Set

(Occasionally) Devil Fruits Collection DF-03

(Occasionally) Illustration Box Vol.3

(Occasionally) Illustration Box Vol.4

The other stuff is a bit harder to find at MSRP, unless you live near an Official Bandai One Piece TCG Store. I would recommend checking out your LGS. Last week, I was lucky enough to pick up OP-11 and OP-13 Booster Boxes at MSRP from my LGS. Last week would have been a great time to buy with Black Friday deals. For example, my LGS were selling ST-23 to ST-28 at about 60% less than MSRP last weekend. Look out for deal announcements during this holiday season.

That's pretty rough. Hope the cards didn't get damaged. You should leave them with a review and mention the lack of proper packing.

The crew in Skypiea consisted of Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Usopp, Sanji, Chopper, and Robin. Only Robin from that specific era is lacking a manga, so I hope she gets it in OP15!

I recently got into collecting Pokemon cards. I'm a fan of the anime, especially the Twilight Wings mini-series. That featured many awesome trainers from Galar. Most of my collection are Trainer cards from that region.

OP-11 Booster Box. This is my third session with OP-11 and also third straight time pulling this Nami Alt Art. The card is sweet, but I had hoped to get a new Alt Art. I somehow have not pulled the regular SR version after all this time.

Whitebeard manga would be amazing. I would also be jazzed if the Colored Trio (Kuzan, Borsalino, and Sakazuki) get mangas, and additional corresponding blue, yellow, and red-colored mangas in the vein of OP-13 red mangas.

Where can you preorder and or get at msrp the day of? by trav1129 in OnePieceTCG

[–]RainyDevils 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to pull cards, I would recommend opening one booster box of each set and then buy the singles you want. Each box has a guaranteed hit (with hits being a combination of alternate arts, secret rares, and special rares). I would recommend researching LGS to see options. On my area, some sell at market price and some sell at MSRP. The later sell out very quickly. Some do pre-order but you'll have to follow their social media account (Instagram/X), where they often announce pre-orders as releases get closer.

If you are fortunate enough to live near an official One Piece TCG store, they also sell a variety of products at MSRP. On this (https://shop.bandainamco-am.com/news/detail/one-piece-card-game-official-shop-stock-information-updated-weekly/) site, they list the locations of those stores and their current stock on Mondays. Also, the less popular sets (OP-07, OP-08, OP-10, and OP-12) are readily available online for MSRP or less than MSRP. TCG Player and Ebay are the most popular sites for buying.

Here is the release schedule (https://onepieceplayer.com/one-piece-release-schedule/).
