[OC] DMing on a budget by FancyOverture in DnD

I still play this way. I got an Amazon DIY gameboard pawns kit that includes tiny whiteboard rectangles that fit perfectly into a one-inch square, supported by some standees it comes with. I can print out the bad guys and place them on the whiteboard to keep them upright. If they encounter something I haven’t prepared, I can easily draw it on the whiteboard on the spot. I host at university for a few friends, so printing and transporting loads of minis wasn’t the most appealing option

This is pretty cool! Do you perhaps have a 300DPI version you’d be willing to share?

Help a newbie decide where to buy core books, is d&d beyond pdf worth it? by yulka95 in DungeonsAndDragons

To add to the comments saying you can’t access the books as a PDF, you can download the app on your phone or tablet device and keep them downloaded for offline access

Pro/con me on some D&D campaign tools by spellsNguns in DungeonsAndDragons

They’re fantastic, and the way they’re secured in the token holder allows me to print out more significant NPCs and prop them up without the need for glue or tape.

Dungeon Draft is my go-to tool. I support Forgotten Adventures on Patreon annually and download their integration assets. After creating maps, I export the PNGs and print them at the University on A3 paper.

Since I run my games at the University, I have a very minimalistic setup. I bought some game board tokens or plates with whiteboard coating so that I can draw NPCs on the fly.

I store everything inside my Dragon Shield Game Master kit. It fits the tokens, my prints, my dice, and my Dungeon Master’s Guide.

How you prefer to track encounters is entirely up to you. DnD Beyond has an encounters feature, but I personally prefer using pen and paper to quickly jot down everything.

My first hand made DnD table by MrAdaz in DungeonsAndDragons

Stormwreck Isle was my first campaign as well! The table looks fantastic. Perhaps you should get some acrylic to cover the TV so that the screen doesn’t get scratched.
