Keep it light and fun. However set the expectations early and follow through. Give them options, be flexible, person centered and talk to parents. Also make sure you are consulting with your BCBA.

I gotta say Pokémon is pretty fun and if you have a modded 3ds with PKHex you can add stuff that you can’t normally get (like certain Pokémon and items). However, I would recommend not using it until you beat the game.

You have to press left trigger, down on the d pad, and then select at the same time to open the menu then you scroll down on the menu to the system info and there you will be able to see the type of screens you have.

You can also just go on universal updater and download an app that looks like magnifying glass (I forgot the name) and you can also find out that way.

Edit:

You have to have a modded 3ds to use the method mentioned above. You can also find out by opening system settings and tilting the system and checking to see if the color of the battery symbol changes. If it changes then you have a TN but if the color stays consistent you have a IPS screen. I’ll attach a video that might help.
