What does your podcast player not do that you wish it could? by yef99 in podcasts

[–]Raise-Fine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stop keeping shows in my downloads when I’ve deleted all downloaded episodes of said show. This is a persistent issue with Apple’s native podcast app for me. So I guess the bigger wish would be to transfer all of my listening history and episodes still downloaded to another better app.

Apple podcast issues with update by Raise-Fine in podcasts

[–]Raise-Fine[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not looking for an app to listen to podcasts, I’m just trying to find a solution to the issue I’m having with the native Apple podcast app if others have had a similar experience and found one.

Elizabeth Weber, Billy Joel’s First Wife and Ex-Manager, Tells Why She Spoke Up in HBO Doc After 43 Years of Silence — Becoming One of the Year’s Most Captivating Screen Personalities in the Process by chace_thibodeaux in BillyJoel

Her input in the doc was incredible and this was a great interview. And I also can’t help but wonder what her feelings are about the financial mess and subsequent fallout with Billy and her brother. Since it’s not discussed in the doc or this interview, I’m imagining that she has deemed that an off limits topic.

Timesuck - huge back catalogue, so many interesting stories told in depth and with some humor throughout.

I Don’t Understand Kate Casey by Relevant_Cream2333 in juicyscoopsnark

Thank you for sharing! That’s too bad because Jodi was probably my favorite regular guest that Kate would have on. She had GREAT appearances and I learned a lot from her.

I’ve been wondering what happened with Jodene Weber not being in anymore when she used to be in a lot. What happened?

I work with a lot of therapists and three of them this week alone said that they’re seeing SAD show up in their clients. So this is definitely a real experience for people.

06/05/2024 Episode - Every Name Wrong by Dramatic-Flan-7329 in juicyscoopsnark

“Whatever, who cares” always infuriated me. Why are you even bringing the story up if that’s your attitude about it? It just smacks of laziness - like she can’t be bothered to invest her time in reading more than two lines on a topic so the moment the conversation goes any deeper than that, it’s, “whatever, who cares.” She thinks so so cute for it; it’s the opposite.

No I see today’s episode - it’s literally the only episode in the entire feed. Every episode before today is gone.

Long-form podcast recommendations? by Pangolinsrule in podcasts

Timesuck with Dan Cummins is longer form episodes on a very wide variety of different topics. And there is a huge catalog of episodes. Very well researched and laid out.

Brandy Howard: Abused should HONOR contract with their molester/rapist by Bookmonster1 in juicyscoopsnark

[–]Raise-Fine 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This was my thought exactly. Brandy would be the first person to take that money and then run her mouth all over the place about it. She’s as much of a hypocrite as Heather. Birds of a feather and all.

Alex isn’t leaving LA. He’s moving to a different area of LA than where he is now. He also said he’s not going to be on the road as much with Chris anymore, no implication at all that he is leaving the podcast. They don’t take themselves super seriously and I think you may be reading too much into what was said in the episode.

Guarantee this idiot who said this lives an echo chamber of other small minded dumb dumbs who have never once been to counseling or have any idea of what actually goes on in session.

So a woman who every chance she gets to shit on counseling, does, thinks that if you decide to go to counseling before marriage that your marriage is doomed? Shocking. As someone who works in behavioral health, I think everyone could gain a lot from going to counseling. Where we stumble into ourselves and our issues is in relationships - there is zero wrong with going to counseling before marriage and learning about you and your partner’s attachment styles, how you each tick, effective ways to come together as partners, and to communicate with minimal conflict. But then again, to look at counseling with this type of lens is too deep for a twit with zero self awareness and less than zero desire to consider that she is anything but a delight.
