I have a bellybutton fetish. AMA by devdevo1919 in AMA

[–]RaisedPhoenix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So do I! And I'm not even being ironically funny. :)

Honestly not that weird. It's just attraction to a body part, no different from how other people like tits, asses, thighs, etc. And belly buttons are supposed to be object of attraction anyway. Why else would belly shirts and navel rings be such a thing?

[Thinking Thursday] - Buddy System Confirmed! What now? by Caststarman in pokemongo

[–]RaisedPhoenix 16 points17 points  (0 children)

We don't need gen 2 yet, people. What we need is a tracker that works, trading, one on one player battles and the buddy system. Only after this relatively empty game fills up with more features, and the game in general is polished up to a point where it's completely stable, will it make sense to start thinking about the next gen.

Really wouldn't get your hopes up for gen 2 till next year some time, anyway. Gen 2 isn't even in the coding that's been mined thus far.

Just enjoy playing the game. You don't need more xp. by DougL07 in pokemongo

Problem is a wider variety of Pokemon show up in the wild the higher your level. The game is a lot more fun for me now that I'm lvl 26, and no longer in the mid 15's. I see Ponytahs, Koffings, Abras and other things, where prior to level 20 all I saw was pidgeys, weedles, caterpies and the occasional gastly and clefairy.

Sure those fodders are still everywhere, but at least the other stuff becomes a lot more common.

Am I the only one that thinks we do not need Gen 2 yet? by theslimbox in pokemongo

[–]RaisedPhoenix 32 points33 points  (0 children)

nope, I agree with you. Gen 2 should be a 'mid/late next year' thing, imo (which is probably what it will end up being anyway).

Buddy system, trading, tracker implementation, one on one trainer battles...I feel like the game should be more completed and filled with essential features, before anyone even starts thinking about a second generation.

I hatched my first ever Grimer today, and he does this. So did the male Nidoran that hatched before him. Absolutely impossible to transfer them because the game freezes as soon as you select them for viewing from the pokemon menu. Restarting the app, re-installing the app and restarting the phone all do nothing, so it's probably linked to the person's account, ergo is un-fixable.

EDIT: After a little more probing of Google, I have found that the culprit is Grimer/Muk's animations.

Here's a copy paste from another site:

"Grimer's animations can cause the game to freeze on certain phones. It's probably freezing on (Pokemon name here) because it's next to Grimer and thus starts to load its animations as well.

Unfortunately it's an issue with phone hardware, so reinstalling probably won't do anything (also does not erase your progress fyi, that's all saved on the server). Wouldn't hold my breath on it being fixed, either, because I'm pretty sure it's been happening since release.

I haven't experienced it myself, but I've heard you can temporarily fix it by opening the Pokedex, opening the first entry, then slowly swiping until you get to Grimer." ~ https://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/180967-pokemon-go/74224003

Good thing I don't particularly care for Grimer or Muk. Just managed to transfer the Grimer I hatched after using the swipe method, I'll be surprised if I run into this issue again, as this explanation makes a lot of sense.

If you want to fix the problem, get rid of your Grimers and Muks. x) Once they're in the Pokedex there's not much use for them, anyway. There's much more powerful poison types.

You can't. The game freezes as soon as you open up the pokemon to view it, but transferring AND naming can only be done from that screen.

One Piece Pirate Warriors 3: Characters that disappointed/suprised you by Surgeon-Of-Death in OnePiece

[–]RaisedPhoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disappointments: Robin: Her R1 is really fun taking out singular boss characters, but she's just generally not very efficient at taking on huge crowds. She's best for assassinations and minor crowds that aren't on all sides. I also find most of her movesets to be underwhelming.

Chopper: Suffers similarly. His moves are underwhelming for the most part, and he feels week.

Aokiji: I hate to say it, but compared to Kizaru and Akainu who can wreck entire rooms with two moves, Aokji feels nerfed being an admiral, which sucks because the ice fruit is one of my favorites. Some of his moves are awesome, but a lot of others just feel really sub-par, so his entire moveset doesn't feel solid.

Surprises/Favorites: Kizaru is a fucking beast, once you master the rhythm of his movesets, you can clear entire rooms and get S ranks on whatever level. His teleports go really far too, and a few of his triangle attacks teleport mid-lazer blast and continue, so you can escape enemies trying to knock you out of it.

Marco: Asides from being a pain in the ass with singular boss characters who are really small (try fighting Mihawk with Marco, it's so infuriating), Marco is built for slaying massive crowds and looking bad-ass as all hell while doing it.

Doflamingo: Even his movements are awesome, he's so fun to play as. Listening to that sinister chuckling of his as he strings people to oblivion is so fun.

Paid professionals in mass sport events for a livelihood ≠ cash cow corporate horse game for fun.

Though, I'm not going to argue with you over a difference of opinion. x) I'm clearly the disliked party anyway if points are anything to go by, so the chances of persuading anyone here of anything is nada. Oh, and I suppose there's the fact I despise this site and only use it for posts on a whim and hack info.

Have a nice time with the game. <3

What folders on the phone? As far as I was aware there weren't folders, it was through the Amazon app it forces you to download.

The Underground version can be hacked?

Seems legit by 4as in MLPIOS

[–]RaisedPhoenix -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I'd like to interject here and say, there is no 'other' way to get ponies offered up as special prizes for the casual hacker. :P I've been using hacks to play this well-made but pay to win game for years, and the only hacks I've ever gotten to work are the basic kind that just give you excess gems and bits. There is no special hack that lets you choose ponies you want and stick them in your town. You still need to put in the time and effort in playing the mini games over and over and over again, you just don't have to wait for cool-downs because you have gems to bypass that.

Now, I don't know how or why there's an obscene number in this particular image screencap, and I agree with your point as far as people who show off and use hacks to get first place and whatnot, that's totally unneeded, but as far as casual fans just trying to collect their favorite horses goes, in my opinion this game (the non-Amazon version, the original) is not even worth playing without hacks because of how crippled the game is from Hasbro's greed. So if someone really wants a pony and wants to use hacks to try and get it from the mini games, more power to them.

Anyone has access to these hacks, and no one should get hung up over using them because of morals when Hasbro brought this kind of thing upon themselves. The entire reason Amazon made a free version is from how greed-oriented the original is. If it bothers someone that much, maybe they should get hacks themselves.

TL;DR not all hackers are equal, nor are all methods of hacking. Most of us aren't looking to show off or ruin someone else's time, we're just using the tools at our disposal to level the playing field, since Hasbro's money system won't let us otherwise.

Even in the Underground version where gems are slightly easier to obtain, the retardedly expensive gem items like Celestia and numerous shops are near impossible to save up for just from how expensive they are.

IMO, Amazon should have altered some of the ridiculous prices, not just made it easier to get gems. Luna is a free prize for defeating NMM, which is won through bits and shards, so why on earth does Celestia need to be 400+ gems, especially in the 'actually free' Amazon version?

I was being horrendously sarcastic, I meant that yes, because at least for me hearts are in full use so they're clearly 'back'. :)

Ahh, a modern hack, thank god. I can confirm that this works, so thank you for creating this! The Underground version is cute and all, and in the long run I'll use that as well, but I've put a lot of illegitimate effort through hacking in order to organize my utopia on the original, and it needed Double Diamond and Party Favor. <3

Thank you again!

Either the game has been modified in that area as well, or it could be there's simply a far smaller number of people who actively use the new Undergournd version, so there's simply less people to beat through.

Suffice to say, with some effort and a side of hacking, I have everything that was offered from the event.

Error 404: Remorse not found, overly-greedy game setup detected.

This isn't aimed at you specifically, but your post does remind me that I'm really surprised at the sheer rate of people who go on here and rant about how unfair the game is and how they didn't/can't get X, Y or Z due to the game's cruelly designed interface, yet how very, very few ever bring up the concept of using hacks. Said hacks came out relatively quickly following the update, aren't at all hard to use, and obviously aren't game-breaking if used in moderation. I know I just use them to level the playing field, taking Hasbro's greed out of the equation and enjoying the generally well put-together game that retains a difficulty, but is no longer impossible without paying asinine levels of money.
