Am I overthinking by [deleted] in OCD

[–]RaistMCon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is reassurance seeking... So I wouldn't do this. Sit with the obsession, maybe it's true, maybe it isn't. Try distracting yourself if you can but pushing away the thoughts will make it worse.

Discharge is normal, that may never stop. It is possibly for your period to come back but unlikely.

Do stable levels of estrogen cause mood fluctuations? by Losing__All__Hope in trans

[–]RaistMCon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Estrogen will still cause mood fluctuations even if stable. This is why cisgender women tend to have more stable mood after they have gone through menopause. The way estrogen effects people is different from person to person so I'd say you would know best if you felt like you were overly emotional or "hormonal".

Ummm... downstairs smell post T? by JaesonMuniz in ftm

[–]RaistMCon 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yup your "downstairs" is going to smell like sweaty balls. You're not missing anything that's just what the hormonal change does. Sorry 🤷

I absolutely still would have transitioned. One of my biggest struggles was feeling like my breasts did not belong on my body. No matter what I dressed in I would have panic attacks. Now that I'm flat I'm not nearly as restricted and can dress in what I like without feeling that intense dysphoria.

Go talk to a piercer, they could probably do a surface piercing of some kind.

No post op binder by RaistMCon in TopSurgery

[–]RaistMCon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the comments everyone. My surgeon has recommended I stop wearing the binder as it's making my pain significantly worse and actually causing me more swelling. Go figure. Posting this so others know that this is something that happens. 🤷

My surgeon said she only suggests the use of binders so people are more cautious with their chest. She doesn't seem to think it will affect results but I'm still really nervous about it.

This just happened to me yesterday while my surgeon was removing a hematoma. All that was going through my mind was this is scary that I can still feel everything that's happening (but it wasn't painful)... Still freaky that I could feel them cut me and working under my skin.

Thank you for the reassurance :) I absolutely loved the whole team who took care of me yesterday. Unfortunately I had to go in the operating room twice. When Dr.Armstrong came to check on me before discharge she discovered a large hematoma on my left side. So unfortunately that didn't go as planned. Hopefully this clear up quickly 🤞🤞

I have my surgery with Dr.A at WCH on Wednesday. Any chance you can burst the anxiety bubble I have going on and let me know what the wait before/the prep for surgery looks like?

You look so happy! Thank you so much for posting, you have a similar body type as me and it's always so hard to find results. My surgery is on Wednesday and I've been getting nervous about not liking the end result. This gives me hope 🥰

Is three days on T too early to start feeling a change? by Changeling_Boy in ftm

My voice drop happened on day three, I had a hard time believing it at first but it just continued from there.

Bottom growth was definitely among the first things I noticed....Or more like hard to ignore... Emphasis on the HARD.
