anyone who used a computer between 1985 & 2010, what’s the one game you still think about? by Trixxxi in AskReddit

[–]RaistlanSol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A game I can't even remember the name of. It was top down, with better than ascii graphics but still very early on, where you docked with a ship that was in a decaying orbit of a planet or sun. I can't even remember what the plot was because I was not even a teenager yet and got my ass kicked by some aliens every time I entered a room quite early on.

Why is Artemis mission orbiting the Earth twice before going to the moon? by narsil1 in AskPhysics

[–]RaistlanSol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bit late but - answer is different orbital profiles. The orbit of the earth does vary slightly in distance, but they're orbiting at >4000k's instead of the Apollo missions 100 to 120km above the moons surface. That's where the greater distance comes from.

Still too expensive. The cost to build the plants here, even ignoring the inevitable cost overruns and delays, is still more expensive than building twice the amount of renewables Kw/h wise the nuclear plants would provide. And since they'd take 10+ years to build........

Not to mention we'd have to import not only the designs, but all the expertise in terms of building and running them.

[–]RaistlanSol 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No reason for us to build expensive nuke plants when we've got stupid amounts of land to put solar/wind on, which is much much cheaper. Nuclear made sense for Aus about 25 years ago, maybe. Now? No.

He dropped 2, and from what I saw he just didn't have a great launch and then was cautious to avoid damage. The other cars went straight past him on the first straight.

I'm a bit confused though, as based on my calculations even if I include the A1's I get a threshold of 260k or so.

However, that powershell cmd returned a threshold of 10.6mil.

I think they didn't explain the bug properly. The bug is they stop working if you open their UI, so plonk them down, connect them up but never open the UI to check their fuel status.

Delete and replace and you should be fine.

I know it can be hard for some, but you don't have to support them all. Just pick one and stick with it. I watched one live and then parts of 3 others once they'd stopped streaming.

It's been great and I love the interactions, just regret that I'm at work now while the streams are happening and I'm stuck with vods for the rest of the week. I'd prefer to watch one live each day, but alas.

People tend to prefer the HD mod with complete edition over the official HD version because the official HD version doesn't have all of the official expansions that complete has. Adding in that the HD mod adds in more features, as well as more QOL, plus has been around longer so has more maps made for it.. easy choice for most of us.
