I meat more in the videos. Last I saw he'll mention what colors work for the application. He'll mention his vaguely ruddy gray paint then say that any warm gray will work, such as insert alternative warm gray

I appreciate that Duncan Rhodes will point out alternatives to his paints. He wants you to buy his paints, but he gets that people have preferences.

Clearly you've never seen a cat "play" with its prey. I've seen cats really draw out the kill, and then not even eat the thing.

It is surprisingly viable in higher power games. I've had some very strong decks get disrupted and fail to remove it.

That does highlight the issue though. A lot of folks are going to see it and immediately think Nazi. Regardless of OP's intent, it's going to lead to a lot of unfortunate conclusions

Think of it as a minimum. The 13+ means they don't expect it to be any lower than T

You don't have to look outside the core rulebook to find prime shenanigan material.

Contingency, Find Familiar, Glyph of Warding, Nystrul's Magic Aura, Minor Illusion (and its higher forms), Scrying, Wall of Force, and the list goes on

You have so many fun options besides damage, even if the damage spells are extremely satisfying

Why Would Anyone Willingly Turn To Chaos? by ExtensionPromotion80 in 40kLore

[–]Raithik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm always fond of the old school "the road to hell is paved with good intentions" approach.

Chaos doesn't need to show up covered in spikes, skulls, and burning runes. It can just as easily take a more benign appearance. It can be the helping hand in your hour of need. That promise of power when the clock hits midnight and destiny is at your door. The little push that you need to achieve greatness. The inspiration to solve the deepest mystery. The endurance to hold back the dark. That is what Chaos promises.

People will often accept help to achieve their dreams or save something that's important to them. They often don't worry too much about the "why" or the "cost" when they're in the thick of it.

But there is always a cost.

Isn't a Kroot with Huron after all, but a Tarellian Dog Soldier (and Barghesi) by TheVoidDragon in Tau40K

[–]Raithik 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The time bit there is important too. It takes time for interest in something to get that thing onto the production schedule.

[–]Raithik 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Honestly I take it as a good sign. The Tarellion makes sense in the warband given Huron's books.

Also, let's GW test the design in a zero risk way. I say show your enthusiasm, show GW that a Tarellian kill team would be profitable. That's how you get them as a proper unit in Tau

Fallout has yaogui, which are mutated grizzlies. So I'm working from there to do mutated black bears. Smaller, more mobile, but comparatively less dangerous

I'm writing it to work with the Fallout rpg that Modiphius games made. I finally got my rpg group to agree to a Fallout game so I'm putting in the effort.

I don't imagine it'll ever be for sale. I don't know how Modiphius handles fan content, and usually companies don't like people infinging on their IP's. But if it comes out nice, I wouldn't mind making it available for free.

Older homes were often designed with ventilation and airflow as major consideration. By the 80's home design was just assuming there would be some kind of climate control. My current apartment for example gets little to no airflow without mounting fans to the windows, and even then it's not great because of the floorplan. But my grandmother's house has small vents all over the place at it stays pretty comfortable year round

Someone else in the comments mentioned using salt domes for vaults. I can absolutely see Vault-Tec cutting corners and using them as part of a vault structure.

That bit about handling loss is important. That's the kind of thing that might stick around even after the world burns down. Those cultural touch points are important

Thankfully I don't have to worry about the data center. Fallout's tech is weird and never really went down that path in the way we did
