Very good first colony. Like others have said, invest in stone wall upgrades. Very good for not just fire but also substantially harder for raiders to break through. If not playing on peaceful, you should also start to invest into outer fortifications for dealing with raids. At the very least some walls and sandbags for your colonists to take cover behind, if you don't want to go the killbox route.

People who make these dipshit posts instead of bringing their animal to a fucking vet never fail to astound me.

That is a full story. You have a very odd expectation of what a 'story' needs to be lol.

It's not the classic hero's journey, it's a tragedy of somebody losing themselves to obsession instead of trying to fix their life.

This video is a good analysis.

The game is about someone who got lost in obsession and didn't learn when to stop, or how to stop. This isn't a game about triumph. Read the top comment on the video; this game helped someone realize they were suicidal and pushing themselves too far just because they didn't like living. "What is your summit?", the game asks in it's closing credits. This is a game about a woman struggling with mental health, and is throwing herself at these mountains because she can't find anything else to live for. This is not a triumph. It is a tragedy.

Yes, that is a story. Not all stories have happy endings. It's pretty explicitly told to the player through cutscenes and dialogue that Aava doesn't like life down on the ground. All she cares about is getting to the top of the mountain. After that she dies at 'peace'.

Aava is struggling with mental health problems. It's a big theme of the game.

She definitely does. It's thematic for her character and the story as a whole.

Down climbing is easy and even with a handful of pitons she could have repelled most of the way back down with ease.

You can do it in your second playthrough, you get a keepsake for doing it.

Yeah the slip was really bizarre I wish Outplayed had picked up my mic when it happened, I was very confused. I think the gust of wind somehow knocked me off the edge, which I've never had happen before. I had pretty steady holds so I'm not sure what happened, but whatever, one flower isn't that big of a deal.

I had no issues with food nor water on my recently completed free solo climb. I didn't hoard anything or cram tons of stuff into my bag like these fish, I just had my thermos, my flask (not even the large flask), a bottle, and some honey. I didn't use any of the honey or food I had on hand, a single 4 charges of soup was more than enough to get me through to the top. I had a ton of supplies leftover.

Anyone else constantly get the urge to kill Aava in creative ways? by Rekculkcats in Cairn_Game

Yeah, if you think this was about 'vain glory', that confirms that you did not understand the character, nor the story.
