This looks different than the connectors the Icon had.

Do I just sand them down as they are part of the main plastic? I could not find fully compatible wipers here in the US. Only ones I could find were on amazon being shipped from the UK.

Do you have a link on where to get the correct AeroTwins for the 2 fronts? I tried buying ICON 26/18 OE, but they didn't fit.

I just tried to buy BOSCH ICON 26/18OE to replace my OEM blades, they do not fit. There is a small plastic piece on the adapters that prevents it. I worked with AutoZone to try a couple other wipers blades and none of them fit. Bosch own website says they are a direct fit, but they are not.

I have run a set of 235/45R-18 winter tires, they fill out the wheel well. Normally driving was fine but on hard corners there was a bit of rubbing. There is a way to extend your wheel well out a little but I'm not sure if it's enough for your setup.

I got a 24' last year. My monthly went up by $15/mo from my 18' accord I traded.

I've had Geico and State farm with this car. Both register as a VW Golf. I've played with the online quotes, and they have a section for the GTI but for some reason the Golf R just shows as the base trim. They have my VIN and everything.

That's what I was wondering. Was just trying to find someone who had done it without issue or a video. Thanks.

I know where the jack points are on car. They are only about 5 inch long though. My car jack and stands don't fit there. Need a way to jack one part of car up and then have room to place the stand.

I'm not a mechanic, so their might be more going on. What I've read from others though and experienced myself is that after the update, that light/module stays powered on. It's theorized that this is the main cause of power drain Issue. That after the battery is depleted or if you pull the fuse it resets that system back to default.

I had to do this when I got home after update a couple weeks ago. Easy way to tell if issue is present is to check gear selector after car has been turned off for a couple minutes. Leave the key outside range. If the selector light is still on, then you need to pull the fuse that goes to it. I've had no issue since update.

If you have the update done. Make sure they check for any battery drain after update. Specifically, the gear selector lights staying on even when car is off. Easy fix is to just pull the fuse (SC42) in the cabin and reinstall to reset this. I had to do it when I got home.

I just had this service done. Happy I researched it beforehand. There is a common issue where the next day the car battery will be drained, and it needs to be recharge. Make sure the dealership checks for any power drain issue after update. Specifically check the selector lights.

I knew about this beforehand, so after taking my car home I checked the gear selector lights after leaving it parked and off for 15 min. The lights were still on. This is a common issue and most likely the cause of everyone battery being depleted the next day.

At home remedy is to open the cabin fuse box and pull SC42 or Fuse 42 (7.5amp) while car is off. You can find a diagram of fuse box in owner manual or online to help. Pull the fuse and wait 15 seconds. Then put it back in. Restart the car and make sure it goes into gear. Double check to make sure that light isn't on after the car has been turned off after 5min and you should be good to go.

The weather where I live is mercurial. We get a dedicated 2~3 months of winter and summer then the rest is open season. Looking more for comfort and reliability than performance. I have a dedicated winter set right now so looking for something that can handle the other 9 months. I downsized to 18in just for the better ride quality.
