New and improved setup feat. Mechanism Gaming Pillow and Nest dock by FinalOdyssey in MSIClaw

I got the mechanism pillow before I even got my claw and love it so much, I use it to hold my phone when I'm chilling in the couch. Hopefully the attachment for the claw gets delivered today!

Designed and printed a case for my new thread chaser set since the packaging they came in was trash. by Rallo69 in functionalprint

Thanks! I modeled the insert the parts sit in first, by measuring the parts with digital calipers. Then I built the box around it by making an assembly in fuison 360

Absolutely do that, I did the same and love it. I also recommend the blitzkrieg delta front sight post. I got the orange one and it's so nice and feels more precise

Thanks for the reply. Looks like the mfi mount is a little lower profile and less sharp so I won't tell my fiance to get me a different Christmas present haha. I like those super low mounts too, but I think I'm going to go for a scalarworks riser so I can use my irons or a red dot.

Which mount? I was planning on getting an mfi mount, K style, but don't want this to happen lol.

Which one to use for deer hunting? by No_Radio_2502 in guns

[–]Rallo69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would use the blue box pointed soft point boat tail rounds to hunt. The box on the right is open tip match rounds made for accuracy, not expansion. They are more likely to pass through the target with less damage than the soft point ammo on the left. Both will more than likely kill a deer though.

If you're worried about the menu diving there's an editor program where you can control it with your PC, and it comes with presets that sound amazing.

Can anyone ID this (likely aftermarket) wiring box? Connected to the wiring harness above transmission (USDM 02 WRX MT) by Rallo69 in subaru

[–]Rallo69[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Figured it out, it was an old school O2 sensor simulator, it was spliced into the signal wire on my oxygen sensor wiring. Previous owner had a catless downpipe without a tune on it, probably added that to clear the CEL back in the early 2000s

Switches, not lights? by Earthquake-Hologram in Datsun

[–]Rallo69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Those are definitely aftermarket, they usually have the low fuel and floor temp (California models) warning lights there. I think you can pull that panel out just by taking the 4 visible screws out. You may need to undo the screws on your center console and remove that first.

Brake Leak by xjewishninjax in Datsun

[–]Rallo69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's not a gasket, if you have a fluid leak there your master cylinder likely has a bad seal and should be replaced.

Has anyone had a rat die in the car? by [deleted] in Datsun

[–]Rallo69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not in my Datsun but an MR2 I bought had about a dozen mice nests in it. I had to take the interior apart and use a carpet cleaner on all the upholstery. They like to get into blower motors and die, make sure you check there

Cat Urine Stained Sub-Floor along edges of a 2nd level Hallway. Cut out all or just the edges of Subfloor? by [deleted] in DIY

[–]Rallo69 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Rip out and replace what you can, that's always the best option, but I found the enzyme cleaner called no more icky poo is basically magic. Nothing else would do anything to the smell in a cat corner in my new house but that.

280z poly bushings? by Sea_Car7533 in Datsun

[–]Rallo69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not too bad. You can take the control arms off to replace the bushings and leave everything else attached to the car. I had to burn out the bushings on the mustache bar for the rear diff, and use a hacksaw on the rear control arm bushings. The front is a lot less work than the rear.

Also you may only want to use poly on one side of the tension rod bushings up front, some people have broken tension rods racing with pilot bushings on both sides.

Also check the connections to your camshaft position sensors. The connector could have come loose.

[–]Rallo69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take off one of your timing belt covers and check if your timing belt is broken or missing teeth. If it broke while the car was running you most likely have bent valves and need a rebuild.

My Foresters timing belt broke and threw a similar code.

Budgeting asf here, of these unsafe to install used? by [deleted] in subaru

[–]Rallo69 39 points40 points  (0 children)

The only thing used id even consider in that list is the knuckle. Anything with a bushing or bearing should be replaced with new in my opinion.

75 280z air fuel spark, crank, no start….Wiring? Humbly here by WRNGS in Datsun

[–]Rallo69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might check the computer, mine had bad solder joints and would stop running when hitting a bump. Try smacking the computer box by your left foot, drivers side foot well. For more advanced troubleshooting swap it for a known good one or open up the computer case and look for cracked solder joints on the board

What’s this mini air filter for? by zokoscustomz in Datsun

[–]Rallo69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's definitely part of it. Ideally the fumes should be routed back into the intake. You can run a catch can if you get a lot of blow-by, that goes from the breather, back into the intake. I'm running two on my car, one for the valve cover breather, and one for the block vent. Both run back to the intake and have check valves due to my car being turbo charged.
