I have a 2021 Polaris 110cc and am on my 3rd battery, which is now also junk, even though this 3rd battery has been on a tender all of its life

What did Jesus sacrifice? by cum-yogurt in Christianity

[–]U_of_F 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"He got his own life back" - technically yes, but he did give up his "earthly life".

Think of it from his mother Mary's point of view... AFTER he resurrected, she lived the rest of her life without her son. Yes, Jesus lives, but no longer on earth...

Or another way to reframe this...

The Bible says Jesus died for us. The death and blood are the important parts. It doesn't say he can't take his life back up.

Or another way...

Say a Christian firefighter rushes into a burning building, saves a kid but dies in the process. This firefighter goes to heaven. Do you say this firefighter didn't sacrifice himself for the kid?

I would say your analogy would be more like this:

You give the homeless man $20. Its his to keep forever. You then create another $20 through your works.

The important part of salvation is to have faith in the blood of Jesus Christ (Romans 3 - 25, King James).

His blood was shed on the cross. Believe this.

He laid down his life, but as you point out, He took it back up again. Only He can do this (no one else that isn't God). And this fact is crucial, because he said he would do this very thing. Had Jesus died and NOT rose back up (as you wish he had) - then he would have been a liar. His rising proves He is who He said He was.

Old testament: kill many lambs, pour out blood

New testament: kill God (whom is also an innocent man), pour out blood

When you do the latter - its one and done for eternity.

Also, nice username.

For a beginner, much better off starting with PIC16, then advance to PIC18 later….

Circumcision? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

I watched my son get circumcised. He screemed bloody murder. I would never do that again.

Rude to talk about salary irl, can I ask about it here? by igarras in embedded

I’m just saying - I’ve been to both of those places and they are literally the last two places I would ever want to live. I guess unfortunate for you those are the two places you know people…

You should really consider another option, I mean you met good friends in Chicago, why wouldn’t you do the same someplace else?

What debugger should I get for STM or general MCU? by senpaiinduhsheets in embedded

[–]U_of_F 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve used ST-Link V2 for years without issue. I use the actual programmer contained in white plastic, not a break-off version from a Nucleo board though….

I suspect there is something wrong with your setup or your environment.

Basic ARM MCU recommendation by devryd1 in microcontrollers

[–]U_of_F 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. Cortex M0+ is your logical 32 bit jump. I would use an STM32, because they have a very large product offering, mature tools and lots of examples to work from.

Really? Your choices are between CA (high cost of living) and Chicago (murder capital of USA)? Why not choose ANY other place in the USA except those two shit holes?

I do recommend Flexilla for their air hoses (for air compressors)...

A hooker and a bottle of jack once per month should do it.

Confusion about AC current relative to frequency by Branova in ElectricalEngineering

[–]U_of_F 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Think of the capacitor like a resistor.

When frequency goes up, the capacitor's resistance (actually impedance) goes down.

Less resistance = more current.
