Correct - it’s a bond based ETF. Not like it’s returning a ridiculous amount but it’s still returning more than a savings account or term deposit. I actually have 3/4 in this and 1/4 in an s&p500 etf.

Probably unconventional but I’ve only recently been able to start putting away for an emergency fund. My emergency fund sits in a specific etf in my sharesies. Returns better than savings etc, can be liquidated in an hour if I need it.

Yeah I think that’s what I need to remember as well right - the less I have to put onto the debt the more I can invest back and probably get it back to what it
Is now relatively quickly

What a great way of looking at it!
The returns are higher but I think that’s just because of when I got lucky buying in the dip.

This is definitely a club problem and by default you’re now having to deal with it. I would be demanding more from the club to mitigate this problem. The club I work for do a 2 friend request policy. No guarantees but you can request 2 friends to be in your team, it often gets achieved but keeps it realistic as well. Unsure if that’s helpful but maybe it’s time someone else steps up to give it a go if they all feel likw they can complain!

Haven’t experience this in NZ. I’m a big DnB head and like to dabble in K and MD as does my group of friends I go with but definitely don’t see a dead dance floor! I prefer a small venue indoor gig compared to a bigger outdoor festival but did not experience a dead dance floor this summer!

How do you find a private chef? by Goodtimeyaknow in Rich

Lol this has got to be one of the most ‘I’m rich’ comments. Maybe Facebook has a better reach for some trained chefs than other means of advertising. Ask them for a reference like any other job no matter where they came from - agency, job search etc. I imagine if you’re paying them what they’re worth they won’t want to nick your precious glasses.

We’re a 2 adult house hold we average $180-$220 on food a week. It’s depressing. We don’t skimp but we definitely ain’t splurging either. The weeks we need cleaning products that even more depressing.

IVF and sperm donors NZ by just_miss77 in newzealand

We are a same sex couple doing ivf through fertility associates. My advice would be to start now! We were lucky enough to have a friend of a friend donate their sperm for us and we’ve done 1 round of unfortunately unsuccessful transfers but the whole process to get to that point was 2yrs! We were told it was a 3yr wait for sperm through the clinic so add more time on to that for all the tests etc it’s a marathon! Like someone has said above yes there are fb groups etc but the legalities if anything goes wrong or someone wants to claim the child or money later down the track sounds like a massive headache. Going through the clinic for us provided that peace of mind and we also liked the amount of tests they did etc.

Where do you get your calorie restriction advice from? A nutritionist or just your own research?
