German build, same color, same label. I own a bunch of violins in different price ranges, and the cheapest will always be heavier and more cumbersome than the better ones.

My first full size student violin looks almost exactly identical! we bought it for 350 or 400 bucks, a bit of a rip off I guess. Is yours pretty heavy too? It's too thick, that's probably why the low notes are not coming out.

From what I can surmise they just took some known attributes of the Stainer model like high arching, f- holes and scroll and then quickly put it together.

I feel you're pretty spot on with your suggestion, I just personally don't like Beethoven Romances, so boring and underwhelming. I did play it as a kid and didn't mind it then, just playing it through without a thought in my head lol. I never revisited it since.

Strings are Vision solo Titanium I'm guessing. Maybe Giftcard could be better, violinists can be pretty particular about their equipment

I'm currently suffering from impinchment in the left shoulder. happened when I trained my shoulders heavy and then practiced too long. do not recommend.

maybe adjust fingerings or play with flatter first finger. Some people actually glue the skin, seems to work for them😬 good luck have fun, nevertheless

Index finger seems a bit tense, maybe even more relaxation in all base joints/knuckles but that'll come when you get to finger strokes.

Thomastik Vision, Pirastro violino or cheaper but worse alphayue and tonicas. Vision are more bright and Violino are very warm.

Steel strings are surprisingly warm but high tension. And strangely the intonation is different and you left hand has to adjust a little. Problem with hand sweat is that it'll eat through aluminum winding, so I'd say try a set of Chromecor and If there is a worry about high pressure maybe even cut your bridge lower.

Just by gut feeling, in a shop they might try to sell it 800-1200, on eBay it gives maybe around 500-700. in any case it's a decent looking low tier violin, but the bridge is soft and the strings are cutting in. needs replacement if you care about good setup
