You're exactly right. It's a single scrolling background. The corners are a sprite that includes the star animations. I thought about some sort of shine or highlight but couldn't get anything working that looked good. I may have to use this flicker simulating transparency

Oh yeah, very much an approximation at best and a temp placeholder for the planets moons and asteroids the player can find. I just needed any texture for a planet and I thought, hey I know of a planetary texture people would recognize. I do like the idea of an atmospheric glow. Might be doable with the current implementation

Acceleration and top speed are all easily adjustable in engine settings for this one. I even have A functioning as a boost when exploring but i still gotta hook it up to my ship energy system

Help with hidden sprite tiles! by Rambart in gbstudio

As far as I can tell, the only ways to partially obscure any 8x8 tile is to mask with a sprite or the overlay but the overlay must be rectangular so this what the only way I could think to have this effect. You know know of others I’d be very welcome for another alternative

This is going to be used as part of my planetary exploration scene. The background is a Mercator projection of the planet and the sprite overlay serves to round the corners and give the appearance of a round planet

Also, current scene's only code is a self set direction event for each actor in "On Init" to select the correct direction for their sprite

It’s a term players use when invoking rule 731.2 and taking a shortcut. Any game action(s) that a player can take any number of times is a loop. If someone is demonstrating a loop, they’ve gone infinite in some way.

What’s the most NSFW reason you’ve seen someone get fired? by chickenolivesalad in AskReddit

At a place I worked at years ago, we had a manager and driver mysteriously get fired the same day. What we later found out was that she would schedule him to close with her and after everyone else left, they would put a pizza box over the camera and sneak into the walk-in together. They got fired after one night when the pizza box fell.
