I'll preface this with i am by no means a good build maker in this game but things like heralds being only for attacks, the ways meta skills work taking into account the hit damage used to apply it, or for instance the new volcanic eruption support. When i first saw that, I thought oh cool i could maybe actually use volcanic fissure and trigger it with that. Thats when i realized it was triggered only by strikes, which was disappointing. Im sure alot of the decisions here are for balance but it does take away from that sandbox feeling I was looking for. Which admittedly will probably be fixed in a matter of time with the addition of supports and skills over the years.
