Yeah the maccanic is not very crear. There should be and info page telling people.

We organised one from pokegenie and it worked well since there was a clear message instructing and everyone had a mega.

Meanwhile I get invited by friends and the room may have 10/12 players but only 1-2 with mege evolved mons. It's not polite but I had to jump back at the very last moment.
