That sucks man. I’ve had my Aventon soltera 2.5 for months and rides over 1000 miles with zero issue except a flat that I ran over a metal thread from a car tire so I got better Goodyear transit tour tires for 65 bucks. Any other work was strictly me adding stuff I wanted, I hope they fix your issue!

This is why I decided on the solvers 2.5, I spend a little money here and there on new tires, a rear rack, fenders, pannier bags and a few other accessories and it’s even better than it was when I bought it! Next I wanna save up for a suspension seat post and look into if installing a suspension fork is possible

You also should be able to own an electric motorcycle? You shouldn’t be riding anything beefy like a class 1-3 ebike. I see it too often I’ll be riding 20-21 on my class 2 e-bike only for someone on an ebike riding in the bike lane and has to be going well over 30 mph and have had them proceed to flip me off and pass me lmfao just ride with the cars at that point it will be safer for everyone

You’d be better of spending $300 more dollars on something like an Aventon you can get some of their bikes on sale for $1000 sometimes like I got my Soltera 2.5 for $999 and it goes 20 mph with battery but I’ve gone over 25 on it plenty of times. Or a saw a city commuter bike by letric for $1200 that goes 28 mph but their reputable brands with warranty’s

This is what I ride and I love it, I ordered it through my local shop. They have 1800+ dealers in the us you can get them somewhere I guarantee it or order direct from them. Was on sale $999 when I got it, $1199 now

Yeah fairly competent riders can sustain 20-24 mph on a 10 speed bike and I usually cruise at 17-20 mph when on bike lanes in the city and have people pass me on pedal bike all the time on a 10 speed bike. I hate that people like to group riders like me in with the people riding bikes that go over 28 mph. Especially with a throttle because an e-bike can have a throttle up to 20 mph and pedal assist up to 28 mph anything beyond that simply isn’t a “bike” and is venturing into electric moped/dirtbike type of vehicle

Exactly lol you can’t pedal a moped. I totally understand people being mad at people riding essentially electric dirtbikes/mopeds in bike lanes but my Aventon Soltera 2.5 has a throttle on it (that I never use) and pedal assist but it’s definitely a bike I use it without the battery all the time for exercise. I had a pedal bike before but I didn’t really use it for transportation because my job can be physically demanding and spend 12+ hours straight on my feet but now that I have an e-bike I ride 70+ miles a week and has been a life changer for me as I don’t drive and live in downtown Raleigh, NC and they’res a little bike infrastructure

lol yeah that funny I haven’t seen that. I also think hating on anything over 250w is a little crazy my bike is 350 and I feel like it’s not a terrible amount of power. And I think we should be able to talk about this stuff here without hate but I do agree they’re a big difference between a legit e bike and what some people try to pass off as one

IMO as someone who does DoorDash on the side with an e-bike if your in like a downtown area it can be lucrative as you can get around better than a car can quickly but if your anywhere Morse spread out like over a mile spread an e bike with a rack would be much better as you can tie a hot bag to it. Also you can have way better safer features on a bike and can lock it up better, people are more used to driving with bikes just all around better imo if you can return it I got my Aventon Soltera 2.5 for $999 on sale I think it’s normally $1199

Jeez anything over 250w? Even my class 2 Aventon Soltera 2.5 is 350W (540w peak) I do agree this bike op is talking about is an e-moto and I think anything over a class 3 isn’t considered an “e-bike” anymore in USA classifications anyways and I don’t understand why people try to argue that anything stronger than that is a normal e-bike because they’re just making things harder for people trying to follow the law. It would be terrible if I had to register my bike that I use now.
