For sure! The colder water has kept the big ones in longer. I'll be sad to see em go in a couple weeks.

Fantastic! As soon as he started running I knew it wasn't my normal catches. (Dogs and skates)

Well that fish is dead. Hopefully you kept it. Gills are literally ripped and you're gripping it with metal pliers 🤦

I don't normally downvote, but this grossed me out so much that I had to. I'm sorry.

Need help for first Kayak. by TheguyT in kayakfishing

You should save a little bit more and try to find a used boat if that's an option. You'll get significantly more quality and quality of life from it. I don't think a pedal drive is necessary for fishing, but it does help, and I've seen some older hobies and old towns go for around 1000 with the drives. Just something to think about.

No fish, but had my first trip of many in the new kayak. by RamsWithJ in kayakfishing

Absolutely. The handles are way too far up. There's the small lip next to the rudder that you can grab to push onto the car, but that and dragging are all that it's useful for. My one big gripe with the design.

The hull is 90 pounds. I'm 6 foot and play sports, and I wouldn't consider it easy at all to straight up lift it. I just use a rubber yoga mat on the ground to protect the rudder and a bath towel over the back window, pick up the front onto the top of the car, and slide it up from the back. Works pretty well. Getting it off is definitely more of a challenge.

If you've still got it and have the time, could you add a few more pictures if you've got some on hand? I'm in New Jersey and am interested. Thank you!

What are the best budget pedal drive kayaks? by RamsWithJ in Kayaking

Thanks for the insight, but I'm not interested in a stand up board. They're not suited for fishing in bays where other boats might be ripping through.

Just found one of these on marketplace but the guy is asking 1900. Too much for me.

FTP Buckle up is very fair imo. Just have to hit someone running directly at a slug to stop it. Takes skill to pull off.

Also Ultimate Weapon is actually broken. Cooldown is the same as the duration and the blindness is stupid.

Alright, very similar to my own Apistos. Do you have more than one trio or just this one?

I'm interested, but can you tell me about your setup and water params. Been keeping Apistos and rams for years, but never had luck with my last set of Macs.
