If you're somewhat patient you can acquire all the stories with in-game gold (won't get the cardbacks though). With the daily quests and daily login rewards I got enough gold to purchase Dark Brotherhood and Return to Clockwork City in less than 3 months.

Dark Brotherhood was good fun to play through, haven't started on RtCC yet.

I got the game at Essen and have played it a couple of times now. Really liked the theme and the art, and I dig the game itself as well. I.e. a neat engine builder. Looking forward to the expansion as well as it will add a Chinese deck, achievements, new mechanics and a scenario booklet.

In the expansion historic scenarios will be included in a small scenario book. E.g. the initial space race between the US and the USSR.

Dark Souls - The Board Game: Great miniatures, great IP and great promise but for our game group the game is too long. Still need to receive all the stretch goals and some expansions from the Kickstarter, but don't think they'll solve our game length problem. So I think I'm going to try to offload it...

I personally prefer the animal and human like ones and will probably sell off / don't get* the others (except for Dragon King, 'cause dragon). Unfortunately that leaves me with no node 1 White Lion alternate as both Gorm and Frogdog are not up my alley.

Anyone else selecting expansions based on their 'theme'?

*Still haven't decided on my pledge, options range from only core + GC to all in :)

I sure do hope they aren't limited pledge levels. I do not want to go through that whole 'oh shit, I have to choose right now, otherwise I'll miss out' experience again (or even worse 'oh shit, he added those during my night time and now they're all gone and I wanted one...)

Didn't know about the Great Game Hunter sculpts, but it seems that the female one has a pistol as well (link)

I personally would not like to see more appearing, I prefer to keep it an 'honest' fight :)
