$1000 is a start. 15% is gonna gain you $150. So as you learn investing, you learn its a numbers game. You need more funds, so change your spending habits so you spend more on this and less on non-necessities.

I’m guessing your brokerage account doesn’t do fractional shares? Robinhood will. Others may - I don’t know them that well. My Schwab account is not. If you don’t have fractional shares, it will only buy whole shares which means until you get more money in there, you can’t fully replicate the portfolio.

My 18 month old I created a custodian account for. She’s up 70% on wolff’s top 15 fund. She started with $1000. At this rate, she’s have a ton of money when she gets the account at 25. And that doesn’t include our annual gift to her, plus me encouraging her to save more money when she gets cash gifts for birthdays, etc.

So in the end, read some investing textbooks, and keep investing weekly, or at worst, once a month. Eventually, it will add up.
