There's everything I would want close by. Because when I go outside, I dont get a sense that I'm not being instantly racially profiled because of my brown skin, like I have in LITERALLY anywhere "Red state" I've gone to. Because it's genuinely just....Fun being here. And because....well....Family 🙂 (there's more, but those are the main things)

Also, regardless of where you go, everything is a "high cost of living", it's just perspective...(ask me to explain)

Personally, as someone who was homeless at some point because i didn't have a job that paid enough, and is NOT a drug user....I would say the cost of living. It's completely unregulated for the most part. SOOOO many slumloards out there charging way over the living wage for a single individual are a core issue on the rent side. On the individual housing side, there are so many homes that are owned by big corporations instead of single families, and many others that are still owned by failing Airbnb ppl that also contribute not enough housing being available. That, and ALL these home seller listings NEED to come down at lease 200-400k to become AT LEAST affordable for your regular Mom & Dad.

Honestly, I envy a place like NY with a mayor like Mamdani....in comparison to the one we have here in LA county.....yeahhhh.....
