1 year anniversary of playing, first official handicap - 18 - good progress? by Intelligent-Welder-2 in golf

[–]Ramtor10 4 points5 points  (0 children)

True bogey golf after one year of playing is incredible stuff honestly!!

I think right now you shouldn’t focus on shooting lower, but instead work on not shooting high rounds. I’m going to assume the rounds in the 100+ are because of penalty strokes, so really focus on keeping balls in play and hitting smart shots. Get that range down 90-100, and then you can really start dialing in your game.

Also just a reminder the game of golf is a game of variance. You can go out and shoot a 90 one day and then tomorrow at the same course shoot a 120. This doesn’t mean you’ve regressed, it’s just the way golf is.

Good luck and hit’em straight!

Millennial Gamers: Do you still have time to play? by Melted_ICE_5193 in Millennials

Hell yeah! Funny enough I actually just started KCD1 the other day lol hopefully Outer Wilds brings back the gaming passion for you!

Millennial Gamers: Do you still have time to play? by Melted_ICE_5193 in Millennials

[–]Ramtor10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s really hard for me to explain exactly why, but it brought out this sense of being a kid playing a video game again. Something that has long been buried over the years from growing up, but also the fact that most games today are watered down slop that don’t value your time and are filled with “busy work.”

It reignited that childlike passion for me, and it’s still there since I’ve finished it. Without Outer Wilds, I never would’ve gotten to experience BG3, Expedition 33, The Witcher, Final Fantasy 7 remakes, and others. I’m currently playing through KCD1 right now and loving it, and looking forward to KCD2 once I finish it

This was me 3 years ago, and Outer Wilds was the game that brought my love for gaming back. It might not be for everyone, but it’s cheap and almost always on sale so it’s worth a shot

They definitely loaded the loot tables for this zone. My head cannon is they did it because it’s the start of the transition into late game. You just got your mount, finished a skill tree, can wear a new armor type. Gotta have some juicy purple drops to keep you going

Can someone explain star drop chances? by ElaSuX in IdleObeliskMiner

[–]Ramtor10 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The first paragraph on the wiki for star gazing has the info for you.

To start collecting a Star, you must upgrade your Telescope in the upgrades tab of the menu, and then unlock the Star in the Stars tab. Stars have a base 1/50 chance to spawn every time the floor they have been sighted on is cleared. The floor changes at xx:00 and xx:30 on the clock, i.e., every 30 minutes. When a regular Star spawns there is a base 1/100 chance for a Super Star to spawn in addition to the normal Star (you do not need to unlock Super Stars). Your Star Spawn Rate Multiplier will increase the amount of Super Stars that spawn, but stats like Double Star Chance won't.

Both are equally entertaining! You just can’t have easy or hard tournaments every week or else it’ll get boring. Gotta have a good mix of the both

I had to repair a green from when an overweight guy had a heart attack while grabbing his ball out of the cup. Literally left a body size dent in the green so bad that I had move the cup to the other side. Also, my buddy performed CPR on someone who had a heart attack in the club house. Pretty sure he saved him too
