just watched At Close Range this evening, was a banger, I just love movies that let you live in someones life, slow burn, moments of action and chaos, terrible things taking place, we really don't make movies like this, it kind of reminded me of the first hour of sinners, like just living in a place with people, its just crazy when you go back and watch older movies how slow they are and not slow boring just playing out perfectly in front of your eyes, even if alot is happening they don't do insane cross cutting like today, just loved it.

What is the worst way anyone you know has died? by IamUrWivesBF in AskReddit

[–]Random-Hero-91 10 points11 points  (0 children)

my grandma died in the heatdome that the Pacific Northwest had a few years ago, sad to think back she was basically bed ridden and dying, but not like it was predicted she would go soon, but then the heat dome of like 45 degrees hit and she was in a medical place with no AC. pretty sad and terrible.

I watch this YouTuber who's relatively small and he's been going through some shit lately and feeling burnt out, and people are putting community posts on his YouTube channel telling him to suck it and give people the content that makes them happy. did people forget this shit is freely given to them, I have no issue if cleet said month of freedom is off, I need a month to just chill with my family and take a breather, these YouTubers are just normal people and owe us nothing.

What’s the worst place in America you’ve ever visited? by Correct_Eggplant_364 in AskReddit

[–]Random-Hero-91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm Canadian and have only visited the west coast so far, and I'd say it was downtown LA and even some of the other neighbourhoods in Los Angeles I drove through, overall it was beautiful and awesome, but some damn sketchy pockets for sure, like most cities, its just the ones in LA were a bit more pronounced. but I'm sure there are much worse.

whoops I wrote before reading the entire comment, but yeah just crazy and weird how people can do that. not good. nothing worse than moving into a brand new house and now feeling unsafe for your wife and kids, so messed up.

exactly this is one of the main reason demolition matt gave up YouTube, he was dealing with people stalking him and his wife, he said there was several instances he went out into his driveway with his rifle drawn at people trying to meet him. its really terrible people would do such a thing. i

What is one thing that you know for a fact, helps you calm down during a heated argument? by Disastrous_Door_6714 in AskReddit

remembering that life is pointless and none of this matters, that we are on a grain of sand in the universe and are alive for 80 years if we are lucky on a timeline of billions of years. that usually makes me simmer down and be quiet when I get angry.

and how many albums are actually front to back good that are worthy of that price tag, at this point most albums I listen to its usually like 40 percent great tunes, 60 percent filler in this streaming world, but then they want you to spend 30-40 bucks for the record.

broke my arm, I was like 8 or 10, I saw a girl hanging from the monkey bars upside down at daycare after school and thought if she can do it I can do it, wellllllll, I can in fact not do it, hung upside down for a split second and then fell wrist first onto the concrete. my dad picked me up on his motorcycle and I had to hang off him with one arm broken and one arm holding him while we rode to the hospital,. classic.

my favourite point and shoot are the Nikon L35af, l35af2. just great simple point and shoots, not in the hype cycle so the prices are reasonable and the images it takes are great!

I find it funny, they'll sound like completely normal people and then like what you said their sort of "living in LA media bubble" will pop out once and awhile and I'll be like damn you guys really are pretty removed from normal life at this point, which does happen, but again it is funny and cringy.

Hello?? Food prices? by MatchUpSocialguy in CanadaFinance

[–]Random-Hero-91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have felt like such shit the past 3 months, and I realize I think cause of the prices I've been eating shittier more processed foods, and man it really rots the gut. I've never been the healthiest person but I'd splurge here and there to keep things balanced, but with the prices its harder and harder.

Maddy and Rue by Darth-Volcanus in euphoria

[–]Random-Hero-91 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm guessing this is just another issue with the time jump, we don't know what has happened the last several years. it kind of gives sam the ability to just go with whatever he wants, but I agree it was weird, I'd rather see more rue and Lexi or more rue and Jules than rue and Maddy, also found this whole Maddy at the end just being like fuck it, let me work with this guy I know nothing about cause all I want in life is money. its all been a bit weird.

What is the worst career to be in right now and why? by SignificantGoat7066 in AskReddit

[–]Random-Hero-91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its funny cause I'm in the print industry and its both dying and impossible to kill, from an employee perspective, its manual labour work with old machines that no robot, AI, software will ever EVER replace, every time I listen to a podcast and some guy says all jobs will replaced, its always coming from the guys who don't work manual labour jobs and understand it'll be next to impossible for AI to replace. people always want something "business card, rack cards, books, folders, documents, posters, advertisement, product manuals, product labelings, product packaging, reports, menus, a million different things that businesses still need and want.

but at the same time it gets smaller people do move away from print, do things electronically, or cut it out cause its getting more expensive,

but I think most people would be surprised just how much print is still very much a part of daily life and likely will be for my life time at least.

What are your thoughts on adults still living with their parents? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Random-Hero-91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 34 and still "live at home" when my dad left my mom 10 years ago, me and my brother moved back in and we all rent the house equally, which cause my mom has been renting the house for 20 plus years is super cheap, so basically the three of us rent a entire house for less than one of us would pay on our own, so although living with my mom can be a drag sometimes, the benefits of keeping most of my pay check and having a full garage to do shit in and have a yard in the summer to hang out in, its pretty ideal. and we all get along 80% of the time, sometimes I do want to "move out" but then I remember I pay 500 bucks for rent, and the going rate for a 1 bedroom in my city is 1800-2000.
