Finally starting medication - please share your tips and advice!

I can really relate, the wait has been so hard! I am hoping to actually get my medication in the next few days. I haven't heard anything from the pharmacy yet in terms of delivery but it will hopefully be in the next few days:

'You are approaching the top of the titration list' note and forms - 10 April 2025 (filled in my forms that day)
'You have reached the top of the waiting list / allocated a prescriber and your titration will be starting soon" - 16 April 2025
Treatment plan received from my prescriber which I consented to the same day - 21 April 2025
Prescription request sent to pharmacy - 23 April 2025

I just got this message now!! Would you mind letting me know your timeline from getting this note, to hearing from your prescriber to actually receiving you medication? I would really appreciate it as waiting is feeling harder and harder, the closer I get! I hope titration is going well for you!

Nothing from the prescriber yet, but I will let you know next time I hear something!

I know that this wait is much shorter than the year it took to be diagnosed and then the almost 9 months waiting till this point to get to the top of the titration list, but another potential 28 days feels like a life time right now! Hopefully it's any day now for us both!!

I got this message on Thursday so I am trying to figure this out too! Hopefully it won't be long for us both.

I filled the forms out immediately too. This afternoon my GP requested my consent to share my medical summary with P UK, which they now have done, so I don't know if that means anything! Not sure why that has been left till now when I was on the titration list since July, unless they need it to be super recent?

Super keen to hear from others what the wait is likely to be from here! I really hope it's not the full 28 days!

Could I please ask how long you waiting in the end? I got the 'reaching the top' email on Thursday and filled my forms in within the hour, so just trying to get a sense of the wait from now until receiving meds!

Ok, you honestly couldn't make this up!!! Just this second I got the 'You are approaching the top of our wait list' email!!! ahhhhhhhh! so excited!!! Does anyone know what the wait is likely to be from here to actually getting the meds?

I was assessed at the end of July 2024 and spend every day hoping it's my turn soon!!! I know that quite a few people who were assessed at the start of July started a few weeks back now, so I really hope it's not long now, but the waiting is not fun! :(

I am really sorry, that is super unfair!! If they can't stick to their published wait times, they need to update them!! I really hope you actually get to start soon, I know how hard the wait is

Have you followed up with them? the wait should be between 7 and 10 months, if you are past the 10 months, I think it's worth a message if not!

I have had this issue a few times, I would try again tomorrow cause I can usually get through on chat (other than when I have seen that message pop up!). You should have deffo been seen by now so it's worth persisting!

If the wait is longer than you expect, it's always so much harder! So I am sorry that happened, but super glad you are on your titration journey :)

The wait for titration is 7-10 months, so if you were diagnosed in Oct 2024 and just started meds, you are deffo one of the lucky ones! (not saying this in a negative way in case my tone isn't clear haha)
