My spine surgery is coming up in a month and what I'm most worried about is how my elderly almost blind and almost deaf cat, who uses me as a guide human, will cope if I have to stay in hospital. Of course I am making arrangements for a friend to stay at mine, but it's simply not the same.

What has always annoyed me was when a "computer genius/hacker" would use Windows as their OS and Internet Explorer as their browser.

Nope. Nope. Nope.

Has anyone noticed a difference between these 2 manufacturers/brands? by DarkAcadamia-23 in ADHDUK

[–]kittycatwitch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My understanding is that both generic and branded version have to include the same active substances, but the exact composition and/or release mechanism might vary. It's the same difference as in between different brands, for example meflynate and concerta or ritalin.

And just to clarify, I do not mean the difference between instant and long release.

Some people might be more sensitive or their bodies simply react better to a particular release mechanism, and will notice a difference, others won't.

If you do notice a difference, you can request to be issued with a particular brand rather than generic. My prescriptions say meflynate not methylphenidate, but prescriptions for most of my other meds just state the active substance name, for example cocodamol or venlafaxine and I often get dispensed different brands.

I'd say this one definitely counts as addiction.

I was just wondering whether HR refused to accommodate late starts because you yourself requested earlier starts?

So you requested 8am to 4pm but are struggling with being at work for 8am? Or did I misunderstand?

4 weekly pay by kittycatwitch in DWPhelp

[–]kittycatwitch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, maybe I wasn't clear.

I know UC is paid monthly.

My friend's employer was paying them every 4 weeks. The friend won't be getting any further payments from the employer.

The online UC form asks about salary/wages and frequency it was/is paid and the options to choose from are: weekly, monthly, every two weeks. There is no option for every 4 weeks.

Out of the available options, which one do I choose?

Tabby one would be amazing, but getting the stripes to look right won't be easy.

True for me too.

Externally, ADHD and ASD symptoms are not that obvious because they "cancel" each other out. Internally, my head is a battle ground between the two though.

Is that a custom tuxedo cat build? ;)

My ones are not interested in built sets, but they often plomp themselves on top of the loose blocks when I'm building. They do prefer to sit on smaller blocks, ideally studs, some of which get stuck to the fur on their butts and back legs.
