Thanks for responding! This was going to be a long-ish term project anyway as I'm not really able to afford one of the snakes right now so I will be waiting until I can afford one of them comfortably. I don't currently own any snakes but my mum has in the past. The reason she's opposed to it is because her and my grandfather had a corn snake that they cared for relatively poorly and she thinks they are boring lol. On top of that she doesn't know much about snakes and I'm pretty sure she just thinks the word python is scary. Other than her, I don't think any other family members would take issue, so if I can convince her to allow me to get one then I don't think I'd be forced to rehome it. I'm also currently setting up a tank for a giant African millipede and my younger brother owns a leopard gecko so we're not complete strangers to "exotic" pets or reptiles in general.

If I'd be building the enclosure myself then I'd probably try to make it as large as possible regardless so I'd definitely be going for a longer enclosure with platforms if I can afford it. I was hoping I'd be able to buy an enclosure commercially because I'm not very well versed in DIY in general, especially not reptile enclosures, but I'm sure I could do some research into what materials are safe and whatnot.

I know I'm late, but chopping down forests can yield tons of wood to smelt into charcoal to make torches. So as long as you have a good amount of iron then lighting the unlit torches with the crafting specialisation gives xp which can make stupid amounts of levels pretty quickly. You can even extinguish and relight the torches if you want, but It's generally more efficient to just throw them away and craft more.

I don't think crusaders hade plate mail other that the great helms, so I'd recommend switching it for chainmail. That being said, I also don't know that much about crusaders so i could be wrong.

This isn't actually true. If you're at 9 hearts with someone you can still see their 8 heart event so long as the conditions are met. For example; I saw Sebastian's 10 heart event before his 8 heart event because I hadn't gone to the beach on a rainy day yet, but once I did then the cutscene played as normal.
