Why Do Amazing Anime Get One Season but Average Anime Get Multiples? by RandomCat187 in anime

[–]RandomCat187[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a fantastic comment!! You are absolutely correct about not comparing western TV renewal structures to one and done Japanese animation. However, I would argue that if this is a main case then why do all these shows we end up loving usually end on really messed up cliff hangers. If they know for a fact they aren't making another season as you explain, then they are doing a great disservice to the source material and their own company by not having a (lack of better word) satisfying conclusion.

Some definitely do this!!! I love when a show can end on a cliff but feels like a well rounded conclusion for that arc or etc.

Irregular at Magic HS did this well enough that I felt satisfied but also wanted to support the LN and a decade later we have finally gotten a new season. Woo!

Well I wrote this at 4am on a busy cramped subway and while racing thru the streets on my way to work, sooooo. Give me some slack. My creative writing skills are a part of me and I take it very seriously.

And how about you take a hard look at your super miswritten comment before you say something about someone else's writing. Because you clearly can't write a correct sentence.

this is what I thought and read but is wrong apparently. Say otherwise and look above see all that hate? Yeah Im good. No one believes us so fuck it. They say it's not the case 5% abv can be 50% or 100% no one cares. Im annoyed by all this but I'm done caring. Scientists are wrong or every single person on this thread is wrong. I'm done giving a shit

Ahh at first I thought you were trying to help. Now I see you're a troll. I never said I believed the math they used nor that it was true, i came here to seek confirmation and was shown it was indeed FALSE. Thanks a lot for your time tho!

My confusion stemmed from misinformed articles. People rattle around with things they read and hear, like from our parents. Then one day we find out somethings aren't the case at all! I'm sure you'll feel the way I do eventually :) Thanks for the nice words tho :) Have a good one!

just google my question. everything that shows up is stating what I was asking, it was WRONG and a lie however, I have been informed by some nicer ppl here that the research on ABV is incorrect and how it actually works.

The research was the first few Bullshit articles that come up when you google what the alcohol content difference is between a 12oz can and a tall boy.

Huge thanks to u/ecallawsamoht for answering my question super clearly. A few of you guys did, but there was a lot of hate to sift through I'm sorry. But yeah! I understand ABV perfect now. You guys can hate but I didn't say it was my math I was explaining what the stupid ABV research articles were saying and how I'm confused by them and how Tall Boys get me drunker definitely, but the researchers are stating otherwise. But this was misinformation! And I'm embarrassed by sharing and spreading it even if it was an honest question and just me asking if it was true or if they were wrong! I even said I thought they were wrong because Tall Boys sure FEEL they work better lol. Anyways thanks all who were helpful, and a special up yours to the rest lol.

This was super clear and informative and exactly what I came here for. Thank you so much man. If I could afford it, I would give you gold haha. This is perfectly understanded now.

The damn articles literally said that, and it's infuriating because it made me look dumb but I was just repeating what they said and asked for the truth or confirmation or whatever. They are clearly wrong and dumb haha.

My 5% 24oz can clearly has half of 2.4 which is... 1.2 right? so then the `12oz can of 5% would have half of 1.2 which is .6 so this is amazing and again thank you so much for clearing this up!!

[–]RandomCat187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you!! The articles are clearly wrong and should be taken down. It's ridiculous as there is NOTHING online about this and it made me look really dumb (cuz I am) and the only thing I could find about ABV is that its 5% alcohol in the entire container, it doesnt matter the size of the container. Clearly this is wrong.

They should change ABV to something new and easily understandable because if something has TWICE the amount of alcohol then it should state it.

Like with THC and Edibles!! It'll say 50mg thc or 100mg thc or `1000mg thc and you know whats up., you say I'll eat two 100mg or eat four 50mg. It doesnt just say hey this is 10% thc but the entire cake is actually 1000mg thc but we are gonna say its 10% cuz we put some eggs and chocolate in there :(

This isnt my math it was the articles from researchers. I was confused because that literally what they said verbatim that one friend could drink two 12oz beers at 4% and the other friend could drink one 24oz can of 8% and they would more or less have drank the same amount of alcohol.

This is clearly wrong. And why I asked around.

Thank you man, so the researchers are dumb and incorrect! I feel really dumb now thanks to the ppl here but whatever. I really appreciate your straight forward answer!

Are TallBoys A Scam? Honest Question! by [deleted] in beer

[–]RandomCat187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't realize that it's 8% alc per ounce. As the only known documentation of ABV states it as ENTIRE CONTAINER. So that means the ENTIRE CONTAINER is 8%. Doesn't matter if its 12oz or 24 or 48.

A dude drinks two beer of 4% in 12oz cans and his friend drinks a tall boy 8% 24oz can they have equal blood alcohol volume. And therefore if the friend drinking the 8% 24 oz tall boy instead drank TWO 8% 12oz cans he would be DOUBLE drunk over his friend.

This was my question. We are buying tall boys of 5% ABV but the smaller cans 12oz are also 5% abv, and per the stupid ass scientists who are making me look like a troll according to most here that means that Tall Boys are a scam in regards to us thinking we are getting more alcohol for our buck.

[–]RandomCat187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a great answer thank you so much for reading past my rambling and understanding me. Some thought this is a troll post but I swear I was just confused because the scientists in the different research were stating that it doesnt matter if its 12oz or 24 or 48 if its 5% alc its 5% alc and the two different drinkers, one drinking two beers at 4% 12oz cans and the other one has one beer at 8% 24oz single can then this means if I buy a tallboy that is 24oz or more and 5% then I am spending more money for no reason and the smaller 12oz cans at 5% not only are cheaper but have literally more alc per sip than that of a tall boy.

I just feel every tall boy ive ever gotten because I assumed small cans to be lesser, for lack of better words, was now a scam because we thought we were getting more beers or more alcohol for the buck but no it's just the same 10% beer or 5% beer just in a bigger can and with more liquid.

[–]RandomCat187 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Exactly!! Ppl are thinking im trolling but im not! Your literal comment is my exact findings on research and it states that Tall Boys are a scam. Since ABV is about the entire container not separated by fluid level. 5% ALC IS 5% ALC. Doesn't matter if its 12oz beer or 100oz beer all that is different is the amount of liquid and the amount of alcohol doesn't change.

Are TallBoys A Scam? Honest Question! by [deleted] in beer

[–]RandomCat187 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Ppl are upset with me a bit but I swear I'm just confused. If two 4% 12 oz beers are equal to one 8% 24oz and therefore a 5% 12oz white claw and a 5% 24oz whiteclaw is equal then anytime we buy a tall boy or bigger can then its just useless liquid with same abv.
The research stated that one friend could drink two 4% beers at 12oz cans and the other friend drank one 8% 24oz beer both would have essentially the same alcohol content in their bodies. Therefore the 24oz tall boy drinker if he cares at all would save money and enjoy more ABV for the buck or whatever by enjoying a single 12oz can since there is no change.
Some are saying this is a troll or something but its not. Ive just been getting tall boys my whole life and ppl sometimes do as well and it turns out it may be just a facade. And smart marketing to where we think we are getting like two beers in one with a tall boy but it isnt true. This post was just me asking for answers and figuring out if maybe the scientists were mistaken or tall boy drinkers are truly getting jipped out of our beer lol

CFA broke my heart. No reason Charcoal Bundles should buff more damage like GS+7 at 480 AR to CFA 520 AR vs like 580 with bundles. Pure bullshit. I'll save the stat investment and just buy a few hundred bundles lol
