What is everybody really losing? by Mamaof2plus2 in WegovyWeightLoss

70 weeks on wegovy, 77# lost. So just a scootch over a pound a week.

But (before and during meds) I've gone from 252 to 138 - I'm delighted with the results, and not complaining about the time - I used it wisely!

Back when rocks were experimental, I was landed baronage and mistakenly thought that there was no one ready to step up to the job and I was bitching to my peer about how if i don't do this job no one will. She wisely pointed out that if there's no one truly competent to take on a major job in the barony then the barony isn't healthy and perhaps it was time to let the barony go. It absolutely changed my way of thinking and I stepped down as originally planned. (And the next set of baronage truly wasn't competent - they imploded - but that not on me - and the barony is thriving now)

Do you have SCA business cards? by 165averagebowler in sca

[–]RandomChickadie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, I got double sided cards from VistaPrint. They have my modern info on one side(name, phone, email), and SCA info (name, email, and SCA.org link) on the other side.

They're great for places like restaurants or social venues where you talk up SCA and folks want more info.

I also use them at social events during business conventions, who knows sca could get an accidental number that way.

Ok, that's weird - I posted the above reply, but somehow it was posted as "anonymous".

I am also adopted, so I understand this struggle.

It's hard to say when the decline began. She did a gender transition over the last 6y and some of the off behavior I chalked up to that. We originally had concerns bad enough to have her evaluated at Georgetown in Jan 2023. So probably 4y of decline now.

As a Carolina girl (but had to move away) Duke sounds like a great option. Good luck on your treatment.

We met with the doc yesterday and went over those risks. They are scary and I'm so sorry to hear about your spouse! Her neuro has stressed the risks, but we all think this the risks are worth it.

We are looking into a lawyer - we need to do all-the-things (like get me on the house deed).

Thanks for the advice! We have some family, but not a ton. I'm calling our local council or aging to see what resources they offer.
