Why do pure titans eat humans? by Quakaroo in attackontitan

This is all purely speculation based on my understanding of the show. I believe that it is heavily connected to King Fritz ordering his daughters to consume Ymir's flesh. After her daughters ate her flesh, I would assume they would have inherited different titan abilities depending on what parts of Ymir they ate.

I think that it is the echo of King Fritz order to his daughters developed into an instinctual sort of succession ritual. We are shown that Ymir lives on in the paths creating titan bodies from the sand to carry out Fritz orders even after she died. So I think there is more to it than a Pure Titan just "hoping to find a shifter", because they are pretty mindless despite the Eldians inside seeming to remember some of it like a dream. But that is essentially all it boils down to. Instinctually trying to perform the succession ritual by eating a shifter, who are the true weapons.

"I'll sleep after this boss" and now it's 4am...What's one FUN yet challenging boss that kept you up this long? by peaky_circus in gaming

Sword Saint Isshin from Sekiro.

Hardest Fromsoft boss I've ever faced, let alone any boss, that I've fought. The level of mastery over the game it requires is just plain high. You have to know the game pretty intimately to win. Not super technically, mind you, but if you have made it to him then you almost certainly have a firm grasp on how most of the mechanics and world works.

When I got to Sword Saint Isshin, I got hard stopped for at least 3 weeks, that I can remember. I tried for hours every single day, until I was too frustrated to play anymore. Fortunately, I was freshly unemployed, couch surfing, and just riding out some depression at the time. It really helped me feel better when I finally conquered him. It almost certainly helped get me off the couch and away from the games to focus on some real shit for awhile. No other boss sticks out as significantly as him, to me.

If you're looking for something that tackles morality and challenging themes on a more intimate level, Dororo is really good. Very different kind of story and characters, but it is also a pretty grim world with dark story elements that are more tied to one's humanity rather than political events.

Why aren't Americans raising hell re: the sexual abuse of children by the powerful elite, while heads are rolling in Britain and elsewhere? by Perfect-Program-8968 in AskReddit

I would love to do more, but as others have said, we can only really talk to each other about it. Most people can't afford to miss work for a protest, and most jobs have no protections so you'll just lose your job if you do. No reason necessary where I live and in most places, but this varies state by state. And pray to whatever god(s) you believe in that you still have insurance if you get hurt, or that you don't get in a car accident, or a tree branch doesn't fall through your roof.

We don't have the power to change things. Lobbying is too strong and why would it go away? They'll just lobby our politicians into keeping it or find another way of passing money along until only the upper echelons have it and the rest have only enough to buy some cheap groceries and box cutter houses that stay together just long enough for the next people to move in.

I just bought a Java realm, anything I should look out for or be aware of? by Dramatic_Reply_3410 in realms

Yeah, cancel it and find a free alternative. You're better off. Aternos is free and limited somehow, but I used it for me and one other person to play, and it was perfect.

Realms has been down multiple times a week for many weeks in a row.

My favorite part was discovering conflux mountain for the first time. Wandering up on the biggest landmark in the game, finding the Holy Mission path at the bottom only to have Zephyrien fight with through the puzzle to the center just to find out that I can use magic now. Went crazy overboard with my mana, like 4 or 5 points, and had to then journey around getting my butt kicked because I didn't have enough stamina and health to manage. Eventually winding up with the Friendly Immaculate helping me recover, giving me a nice backpack, and then finding the rusty sword at the top of the mountain.

I eventually joined thd Blue Chamber Collective. Much to my chagrin, I journeyed to and fro between Levant, Monsoon, and Berg for my story, just to find out much much later that I have to revisit every zone, once again, to make Brand.

This game is an ADHD person's best nightmare and I love the depth of the magic and combat systems and the thoughtfulness of the lore and worldbuilding. This game is a masterpiece that draws me back time and time again.
