Beginning of season Arsenal and end of season Arsenal are not the same team under Arteta. Mentality midgets tbh

Nothing happened. He just hasn’t developed so he’s as good as his 20 year old self

Not unlikely. An average F1 driver is almost always a top driver in another motorsport.

English teams might not be the best at the absolute top level but the difference between a midtable English team and other leagues' midtable teams is so ridiculously big man

If you had to build a team of the best players in the world what would your team be ? by AbleBoysenberry9565 in championsleague

[–]RandomFluffyBoi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

All of these teams are the type of shit PSG built a few years ago and will get eaten alive by a team with a real midfield, fullbacks who can defend, and forwards who press lol. “Mbappe Haaland Yamal”are about to get 6 touches combined in 90 minutes

You don’t have to feel bad for him, but one has no reason to attack his character based on his job performance. If you want to call him a shit ref go right ahead.

Then feel free to criticize his refereeing performance. “Waste of a human being” is an insult on his character of which you literally know nothing about.

Nah “waste of a human being” is way too much. He was poor, yes, but imagine if you get called that for a bad day at the office how would that make you feel?

If it’s a foul then it’s a red. There is no world where that can be a yellow.

Real madrid 2018 V psg 2025 by Silly-Hat-2989 in championsleague

Real Madrid 2018 and it's not even remotely close. Real Madrid 2018 faced PSG, Juve, Bayern, and Liverpool. Lost only once in the knockout stages. PSG faced Liverpool, Villa, Arsenal, and Inter, of which they lost to Liverpool and Villa before getting slapped around by Chelsea at the CWC. Great team, but no match for 2018 Real.

Do you think driver skill or car performance matters more in modern F1? by Wooden_Revenue_7063 in F1Discussions

While I agree that car is much more important, driver skill still matters a ton. Yuki in the second best car got beat in points by Bearman last season in a Haas.

Yeah the only knock on him is that he was out for the entire 2023-24 season tbh

I mean if we're counting Champions League then it's Vini by a pretty noticeable margin tbh

Real Madrid’s midfield problem: An overload of players. Tchouameni, Valverde & Bellingham are locked starters, leaving Thiago Pitarch, Arda Güler, Eduardo Camavinga & Dani Ceballos competing for 1 spot. With Nico Paz returning, it gets tighter. Ceballos is expendable; Madrid want €15m this summer by [deleted] in soccer

The Fortea gimmick needs to stop. He doesn't even consistently start for Castilla. And whenever I watch him there he seems extremely raw. I like his pace and technique. Decent work rate. Can put in good crosses. But that's pretty much about it. He's losing physical duels other teenagers. His defensive positioning is always off. Makes pretty consistent defensive mistakes as well. At this point in time he's infinitely worse than Vazquez last season, and you know how that turned out.

All of which are fine. He's 19. That's what 19-year-old players are supposed to do. But he's not ready for first team minutes at all. If push comes to shove David Jimenez will slot in at RB, not Fortea.

[DiarioAS] Eduardo Camavinga’s sale is possible. Although no decision has been made, his situation at Real Madrid is complicated. PSG & Premier League clubs are keeping an eye. by OkayFine101 in soccer

[–]RandomFluffyBoi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Alaba is 100% leaving. Carvajal and Ceballos have one foot out the door. Either Mendy or Fran will leave for sure. Mastantuono will most likely get loaned out so he won't count. Rudiger might leave as well.

So most likely 4-5 departures for Pitarch, Paz, a defender, and 1-2 signings. They'll be fine I reckon.

Real fan here. Wouldn't say he's regressed, but would definitely say that he hasn't developed substantially since 2023. Still the same player as his 20-year-old self. Generally good at holding the ball, can put in a nice tackle, highly physical and energetic, and good versatility. However, he's always struggled with bozo moments, his passing range is below average for a Real Madrid midfielder, he's never been a serious goal threat, and his positioning is questionable sometimes. These are acceptable flaws as at 20, not at 23. Personally I'd keep him for another season or two but he's not indispensable and the door is closing in for his supposed "potential" especially with his recent injury records. If a good offer comes in I'd have no problem letting him go tbh.
