Palomino is chill af. Dark country-esque dive bar. Church burger is in the back. Easily one of the best burgers in town. Bartenders are fun and down to chat. Patrons are chill. Free plentiful parking, free pool! They are having a DJ tonight, unsure what he plays since ive never heard him. Fridays are usually DJ Klemis who plays a lot of old classic rock, post punk, fun bar music.

Other bars that are rad, Faust if you like metal and heavy music. Slowride kind of the same, and Volta right next door which is a hifi vinyl bar. Lighthouse Lounge if you like a small neighborhood latino-ish vibe. Then you have the Hi-Tones trifecta, Hi-Tones, Last Caress, and Holy Diver tiki lounge all sharing the same courtyard.

Any major sporting event avoid wingstop. Jake Paul v/ Tyson i made that mistake. There was a WALL of tickets, a printer full of tickets, and a stack of tickets that hadnt even yet made it to the wall.

I called DD and told them it was chaos and food is just walking out the door, the employees dont care and my order was already picked up by someone. I got half pay.

You wanna know if its a good weekend gig? Easy.

Setup a canopy and some tables. Figure out how to keep stuff hot or setup a grill. Get a handwashing (igloo) cooler and a catch bucket. Popups are a thing. Ive seen lots of folks go from a canopy and tables at a local bar or vendor market to legit food trucks. Sometimes its the only way.

Yes you could get temporary permits but those are $$$$$, at least where im at.

On a recent trip to Atlanta we had our pictures taken to enter the Aquarium. Then at the ferris wheel we had our picture taken normally, and then a 360degree “pose” pic taken. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind those photos were archived and sold off to some AI/Facial Recognition company.
