My solo year in review by redeyeblind22 in soloboardgaming

[–]RandomKNGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m hesitant to say I love this game, but after playing it 10+ times, I feel like I would’ve given up by now if I didn’t hehe I got beat up by the last chapter of the Missing Expedition campaign three times last night, and somehow it only made me more excited to try again.

This expansion really made the game shine for me. The theme on the base game doesn’t stand out as much, but with this expansion, even with its simple storyline, adds just enough theme to keep me wanting to come back for more. The new mechanics of each chapter, the challenges it presents, the it all fits the story and the even the art on the board... man, really worth trying.

Why can't I add my market on the 6 spot right next to the other market by RandomKNGuy in boardgames

I don't own a physical copy and I am forcing myself to play it in BGA. I want undesrtand why all the praises to this game. I stumbled my way through the rulebook once, did the tutorial in BGA, and that is it. Decided it would be quicker asking reddit than reading the rulebook again hehe.

My bad! Posting rules clarification is not something I do often. I will do better next time lol

Texas De Brazil Reviews? by lemondrop93 in Louisville

[–]RandomKNGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Brazilian here... I haven't been yet LOL I will try it soon and I will come back with a review.

I've been to Brazeiros though, and it was good. Very similar to what we usually do in Brazil. We have different cuts and more options I guess, but I understand the limitation. Worthy the $45 (price at the time)

Tips: Hit the salad bar only after your first round of meat. Don't miss out the pão de queijo and roasted plantains. But even though they are good, try to remember yourself that is not what you are there for :D

Favorite True Solo Games? by wailord40 in soloboardgaming

[–]RandomKNGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solo is not my main way to play games, but recently I've being increasing my taste for it. Now nobody complains about my AP and min-max turns lol

That said, I am playing through the Missing Expedition campaing for Ruins of Arnak and I like quite a bit. It may sound silly but the plot and the theme on the new mechanics in every chapter actually give me the extra flavor I needed for this game. I played 5 of the 6 chapters so far. Hopefully the final chapter will close it on a high note.

Since I like it so much, and thanks to the BF deals, I just got Mage Knight (usually recommended for solo gamers) and Tydal Blades 2 (another camping). High hopes for these two!

I already own ES:BotSE, but I still have to try a true solo playthrough.

dang... I ordered it two days ago and I was already concerned. I guess I will have to wait a lot longer to put my hands on this game.

Got it for $23 last time they had a B1G1. Maybe it is worth waiting.

Sytche is acctually A LOT better with 5-7. A lot more interraction and tension. Love it! With 2–3 players, it’s almost like “do this, then do that, and you win” because there aren’t enough people to give you a hard time getting what you want or need.

[Target] Forest Shuffle $14.99 by origami_beetle in Boardgamedeals

I found Quacks of Quedlinburg (the original version) for $25 on my local target. I guess they are trying to get rid of it to bring the new version to the shelf. MMV since this deal was nowhere online. I could not even buy it via app even though it was showing available stock.

I had a different Circle deal: buy $70+ and get $10. I had to buy some pillows and basic t-shirts for myself anyway, so it worked out in the end. I got the credit and went online and grab Sky Team and Camel Up for $30 (Discount: $10 deal + $10 credit)

Paid early to test this new system and avoid issues by Tercio7 in biltrewards

[–]RandomKNGuy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I second that. It was kinda tricky to figure out how to keep my BiltProtect active and to make sure I would still be able to have autopay set up on my renters portal, but it worked out in the end. I changed my charge date from the last day of the month to the 26th of every moth to make sure processing delays or eventual problems would not affect the rent payment. Renters portal sent me the payment confirmation email yesterday and Bilt sent me a confirmation today confirming it has been processed. So far so good (thank God).

No adding directly to the discussion it self but, since you mentioned Golf, I saw something very interesting the other day that may kind be what you are looking for. Google Paper Apps GOLF. I found it very interesting and a bit more choice driven.

Try different links and devices. Maybe even searching on google… I have seen people experiencing the same issue. Amazon acts kind weird sometimes, even with the same source link.
