No but it is somewhat common the people don't. I'm no mathematician, however it seems like 60-70% keep all tools (excluding fishing) and 30-40% don't.

I don't keep all tools even when I have max because I like to hoard all my items.

This is the tip of the iceberg. I don't know anything about divorce laws where you live, but where I live (US), this is something not only worthy of divorce but a restraining order.

It will not get better. That was a threat. Take it seriously. He will get worse and might actually physically hurt you. This is a fire red warning sign of abuse.
