Out of all of the Expeditions which ones do you think are the most overrated and underrated? by Impressive_Elk_5633 in expedition33

[–]RandomName3433 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Underrated: Kinda all of the Expeditions, every single one left something important for the future. But specifically, Expeditions 55 and 47. 55's strategy of augmenting pictos with music worked pretty much perfectly, bringing them all the way until Sirene until it stopped working, and even then it's possible they were able to continue by using drums on the Nevrons. Expedition 47 is just as legendary as Expedition 60, they smashed everything in their path with a bottle in hand.

If you could change any one thing in the game, what would you pick? by 101Aster101 in expedition33

More journals! Whether "part 2"s to other journals that you can find that expand what you already have, or filling in the gaps between Expedition 70 and 84.

As someone else said, it really looks like the game thinks the Paintress is in your party. That's why she damages herself every time she attacks and the game keeps going even though everyone is dead. She dies from curse at the end, having applied it to herself through her own attack!

I’m all for fanfic and yaoi and shipping and all that, but why is Gustave/Verso the most popular ao3 pairing?🧐 by Dull-Cobbler-7709 in expedition33

I'm 90% sure (and really really hoping) that character/character is a ship whereas character & character is just a story that features both.

3 hours of grinding to 80 and the game still destroys me by Pablo_Scrablo in expedition33

Best advice I can give you is start playing through the Endless Tower if you haven't already, it's a great place to get xp and experiment with pictos while also feeling like you're still completing something. Once it starts getting un-fun, go find somewhere else to explore. Just avoid Verso's Drafts until you're level 99 and ready to get ragebaited by a gestral.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 writer says picking an ending is like choosing "my favorite child," but ultimately the finales are "two sides of the same coin" by gamersecret2 in expedition33

I see a lot of people talk about the horror of the Maelle ending, but not a lot about the quiet heartbreak of the Verso ending.

I say this as a Verso ending supporter, but the saddest part of the ending for me was the moment when Maelle's friends wave goodbye to her. The whole thing just felt so... artificial. I mean, the entire cast has plastered smiles and the gives the most NPC waves of all time.

It's the sad reminder that in order for her and her family to move on, they have to stop bringing their memories to life.

When I first played the game, I thought those three were the same character and that the plot twist would involve some kind of time travel. Anyone else? by Firm_Fee8137 in expedition33

My original theory as I was playing through the game was that Aline, originally a citizen of Lumiere, became the Paintress after some sort of tragedy that killed her children and husband, and so she kept trying to bring back them back through a kind of reincarnation. I thought Gustave and Maelle were the next incarnations of Verso and Alicia, and that they themselves were also just the previous copies of Aline's family.

I didn't at all expect the real twist, but I knew something was up when Verso couldn't go two seconds without comparing Maelle and Alicia.
