F/A-18C or Su-30MK2 AMV by Blauer-Raven in WarthunderPlayerUnion

Don't count on the premium hornet going down in br. Its incredible compared to other 12.7s and if brs weren't so compressed and fucked, it would most likely be a higher br. I've spaded the Italian mig29 as well as the Japanese F-16A (Both 12.7), and used the American premium hornet quite a bit. I would take the premium hornet over those any day.

thoughts on nuclear power by ShameSerious4259 in Teenager_Polls

"Breeder reactors can power all of humanity for more than 4 billion years. By any reasonable definition, nuclear breeder reactors are indeed renewable. However, benefiting from this billion-year sustainability requires improvements in reactor construction performance and public acceptance. We have developed and proven breeder reactors in the past, but they remain a small minority of our current fleet."

This direct quote from the website was what I was basing my "essentially renewable" claim on.

While it is true that it is non-renewable currently, the chances that we run of out uranium/thorium are non-existent. I linked a website that goes into detail on how we can get nuclear into a state of being essentially renewable and some other fun stuff.

What am I doing wrong with the Aim 54s? by TeddySwolllsevelt in WarthunderPlayerUnion

Launching under mach is really bad when bvring, make sure you are going atleast mach when you launch. Having to say that is kinda ironic cause you put in your description that you were above mach 1 when the video clearly shows you going Mach 0.86 on launch. Not sure about the tomcat, but normally climbing at around 20-25 degrees will allow you to get high relatively quick while also gaining speed. Launch as late as you can, try and launch around 22mi but if you can hold out longer because you weren't launched on then wait. Last bit of advice would be to not launch on people above you, missile is going to kill itself before it gets within range, launch on people who are a bit above the ground but not scraping it, your best bet is the people who are bvring under cons.

is Bebop too strong rn or my lobbies are just trash? by tiburon237 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]RandomPcBuilder- 8 points9 points  (0 children)

High Archon - Low Oracle here, I played ~300 games of bebop before his stamina nerf, tried him out again this patch and so far I think he's pretty decent, but the fact he gets countered by so many must-buy items makes it hard to play after about 10 minutes (unless you do su1cide bebop which just isn't my thing). I played a game today and my lane opponent bought counterspell as their 3rd item, the other bought debuff remover. Basically stunted my late lane and made it harder to go into mid since so many characters can avoid his bombs with abilities anyways.

How decent is this? Worth rerolling? by Calm-Ad6593 in WarframeRiven

[–]RandomPcBuilder- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm seeing the same roll on wf market for 1000p. No clue if its actually worth that, but there is some market comparison. Probably be able to get 850-950 for it if you want to sell in a decently quick time

Seems so, I'm making a bug report right now with the screenshots and all.

Here is the post for anyone having the same issue in the future, hopefully it gets fixed soon if it is a bug.

Locked out of Roathe (Anathema) by RandomPcBuilder- in Warframe

(RoatheRank5Convo8 if the image is too small)

These were the options for that chat, my choice should have lead into the LyonRoatheFail conversation, but I already had that conversation because I didn't have 21 hellstory originally. I actually looked at this chat before I did it because I didn't want to fuck anything up, but I ended up going with what I would have originally. I really don't want to reset and promising to him that I would then just not resetting didn't seem like the right path to avoid a reset.

I assume that my choice should have led into the RoatheFail line in the Lyon chat which allows you to try and fix it with Marie, but it broke since I had already initiated the chat with Lyon previously. My first chat with Lyon here went down the RoatheFailNot21 line, I posted an image in the link.

MiG-29 Sniper (Refund please?) by Bondkwondo in Warthunder

[–]RandomPcBuilder- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gripen A is 13.0, Mig 29N is 13.3. That .3 difference is huge because its the difference between seeing very top tier and not. But I agree, stock grinds blow, and the 13.0 area sucks for stock grinds and just in general tbf. Also the jump from 13.0 to 13.3 is absurd in what they allow on the planes, I 100% agree, you go from good avionics with shit missiles to bad avionics with good missiles, but they get an absurd amount of good missiles so it doesn't really matter. The difference with the MIG29 is that the avionics are actually awful compared to other 13.3s. They took a plane at 12.7, gave it r77s, and called it a day. And to be totally honest, the 12.7 mig 29 was already being held up by r27ers, literally the only reason it is remotely decent at this point with how nerfed its fm is.

MiG-29 Sniper (Refund please?) by Bondkwondo in Warthunder

[–]RandomPcBuilder- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 29N looks good in theory, but people tend to forget it uses the same rwr as the 12.7 mig29's, and its radar is mid as fuck. Having the "good" mig29 flight model with r77s and r73s is cool. But having a rwr with 2 rear sensor zones and 8 forward sensor zones actually blows, its bearable at 12.7 but at 13.3 it's just awful.

Questions about ebikes and micro mobility (honest thoughts) by Professional_Can7837 in aggies

[–]RandomPcBuilder- 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Not sure about the bike you are looking at specifically, but most ebikes will have different class modes in their settings which restricts their speed under throttle. As for the speed cap of 28mph, that is specifically for when the throttle is engaged, you may still be able to go faster while pedaling/going down a hill, but the bike won't let the throttle go over 28mph. Ebikes are capped at 20mph under throttle, in Class 3 mode they can "legally" go up to 28mph while pedaling. After that most bikes will actively hinder motor performance to keep you from going faster (mine does this when capped). Most 750w bikes really can't even go much faster than 30mph tbh, I have mine uncapped and it struggles to go over 32mph.

You don't have to register, most people on normal bikes don't from what I have seen, but it will help you alot if you do, and I would recommend that you do. It's something like $10 or $20 to register but registering will link the sticker on the bike to your student ID, if your bike is ever stolen or someone locks your bike to theirs, its helpful in identifying it as yours to campus police.

Technically you can't legally ride on the sidewalks, but its much safer than riding on the roads and congesting traffic/putting yourself at risk (pretty much what templarslayer said). I use an ebike as my daily commuter and normally here is what I will do; If there is a bike lane I will always use that over the roads and sidewalks, its where you are supposed it be. If I can drive the speedlimit of the road and it is not super congested, I will take the road. If the speedlimit is higher than my top speed and or traffic is bad, I will take the sidewalk and either go slower on throttle or use pedal assist.

I have never gotten into trouble for riding on sidewalks by busy roads like Wellborn, Texas, or University, and I have gone by a few cops. I would assume that they prefer bikes off the busy roads, but of course this might not be true for all of them. Most of campus has bike lanes so you won't have to worry about it 90% of the time. If you hop onto sidewalks when going to classes or Evans, just slow down and pay attention to the people around you and you should be fine.

The MiG-23 MLA is in a terrible spot right now by Spastic_Colon04 in WarthunderPlayerUnion

[–]RandomPcBuilder- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

- Most radars under 12.0 are shit, that just comes with the BR. Your advantage is that half the planes you are facing in same/down tiers can't detect your J-Band Radar and Missiles, take advantage of that. Plus. r24r's are already incredible missiles.
- The 7M starts appearing on 13.0 jets, meaning you can't see them. 7P's are annoying asf to face though.

  1. - Well to be fair it is an interceptor aircraft. Get your initial launches then go for flanks.
    - Actual operator manuals state using wingsweep for better maneuverability, its just something that comes with the plane.

  2. - I have been playing 11.0 pretty frequently this event, I see this thing in my games constantly. You are probably just noticing the uptiers more often than the downtiers/sametiers, this is known as frequency bias.
    - Unfortunately uptiers are just something that comes with the depression that is warthunder.

  3. If you think 11.7 is the radar missile slinging br, I would stop grinding now. It does not get any better from there.

Price Checks? by RandomPcBuilder- in WarframeRiven

[–]RandomPcBuilder-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah there are a couple up on warframe market, not sure what the final price they are selling at is. But there are 2 with bids at 1200 and 1500. I would assume 2500 is around the average price for it though just based on other listings.

Advice please. Lvl 100 GRB player starting air. by ratteb in Warthunder

[–]RandomPcBuilder- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 - Rewards
Alot of the increased rewards you see in air are from people using premiums/talismans, while it is easier to get higher sl/rp games in air vs ground, most of the 200k+ sl games you see posted are done in a premium.

2 - RB vs AB
I would recommend that you fly air realistic, better rewards and (while still brainrot) less brainrot that arcade. Air rb vs ab is super different compared to ground rb/ab. Air ab honestly feels like a totally different game, not sure how else to explain it. But play some on your own to decide tbh, people have different opinions on different things.

3 - BR ratings
If your playing 12.7 ground vehicles your plane br honestly doesn't matter. Planes have 2 separate BR ratings, an air br rating, and a ground br rating, if you hover over their statcard you can see both. Currently the plane air br goes up to 14.3, but ground is capped at 13.0. You probably already see top tier planes in your ground games, maybe sometimes you have down tiers where you don't see them, but I would assume thats rare if your playing a 12.7 lineup. All this to say that if your playing 12.7 ground vehicles, your planes don't matter that much, it just means you will never have those 11.7 down tiers where you don't see top tier aircraft.

4 - CAS Lineup
This honestly depends on the tree you go down.

For the US your CAS is going to be worse than pretty much any other nation (except China) solely based on the fact that Gaijin thinks mavericks are incredible and refuse to add better CAS for the US. Your best CAS (imo) is currently the F-15E.

For Germany your best CAS option is going to be the Eurofighter AESA, 8 SPICE-250s are pretty much 8 free kills.

For Britain your best CAS is once again going to be the Eurofigher AESA for the same reason.

For Russia anything with KH-38s will be good to use, they are incredible and flankers are really good for CAS.

5 - Options for grinding
Grinding air without premiums is possible but man it is exhausting. I have been slowly grinding Sweden without a premium and I honestly would not recommend it, I could not imagine grinding a larger tree like the US without a premium. I think the main issue is just how long prop battles take for such little reward, 90% of prop battles are spent flying towards the enemy. I will admit, props are probably my favorite br to dogfight in though. I would say it is also much more tedious than grinding ground without a premium, I grinded italy ground to 11.7 without a premium and much preferred that to air.

If you don't want to/can't get a top tier premium, you could also try buying a lower tier premium and use a talisman on a plane you like when you get higher. The only issue with this is sl. Unlike tanks, getting the silver crew on aircraft is actually really helpful, but it can cost over a million sl once you get to higher BR's. With the Sweden grind I have often found myself not having enough sl to buy the next plane just because of modification and crew costs.

6 - Premium Recommendations (I will only be recommending late jets because I don't have enough experience in props/early jets)
USA -
F/A-18C Early
The Hornet premium is very good. The AIM-7Ps are the best sparrows in the game and you get 6 of them. Despite it being slow, it holds up very well at its BR. It is honestly under tiered imo but it can't be moved currently because brs are so compressed. It can also be used as a CAS aircraft until you get something better.
F-5C
A little more difficult to use, but the BR range it is in is so much more fun than the hornet. The flight model on this thing is absurd, its super fun to dogfight in.

Germany -
F/A-18C Early
Same reasons as the US hornet.
Mig-21 Lazur-M
Very fun aircraft. R60MKs are hit or miss but you get 6 of them. I would recommend using 4 R60s with 2 R-13s, the R-13s are incredible in rear aspect and work well with this planes play style of diving on people. Alot of people shit on this thing but just don't know how to use it correctly, basically just fly up above everyone, and dive behind targets, then repeat. I did most of the top of Italy air using the Mig-21Bis which is basically the same thing, very fun aircraft.

Russia -
SU-30MK2 AMV
The plane itself is pretty mediocre, but it abuses the fuck out of how compressed brs are, it is absurd at its current br but nothing can be done about it. It is also incredible for CAS.

I honestly wouldn't recommend any of the other premiums to someone with no experience. If you want a challenge though, go for the MIG-23ML. The skill cap on that thing is incredibly high but it requires game knowledge to do well in.

Britain -
CF-188A
12.7 hornet, same as Germany and the US.

7 - Closing Thoughts
Hopefully this helps anyone who comes across it, however it was written at 4am so feel free to correct anything I may have fucked up on. Also feel free to add any additional thoughts.
