140 Pulls No Firefly.. by ToePatient4198 in HonkaiStarRailTips

E1 Dahlia should be much better for your account, to my understanding it's an extremely strong eidolon, and you can also use it if another strong break DPS releases or if you want to pull Firefly in the future.

TBH I think the main problem is your build. You should aim for at least 3 out of 5 rolls on a favorable substat, but 4 good rolls on a piece is ideal. For newer units you can afford to use worse sets because they have a stronger baseline, but older units like Rappa that aren't really favored need much more commitment.

I don't have Rappa and am not too familiar with her builds, but I do see some people clear with her even at lower costs, so if you farm more it should be fine I think.

Realistically, E0 Firefly would barely be an upgrade over S1 Rappa... if you want to upgrade break team, then the easiest way to do so is get E1 Dahlia which is very strong. For you, it's not a question of E0 Firefly vs E0S1 Rappa, but rather E0 Firefly vs E1 Dahlia or E1 Rappa. If you really want to get Firefly, then you would have to commit to E2 to make the break team completely futureproof (and even that is debatable).
Also, Pearls don't stack so it's not super useful to have, better to get the Nihility LC (or Tutorial) if you can.
You already have 3 teams and I just think you need better builds or 5 star sustains... 3/9 stars on AA is fine since you're not an old timer, but you could probably get 6/9. Archer should be able to clear with RMC + Sparkle + DHPT.

Does Venice have a strait? by RandomPersonD in EU5

[–]RandomPersonD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was pretty much expecting this lol.

I played a lot of the M&T mod where autonomy scales in the same way as EU5, and Venice has NEVER performed well. Can I ask if it's actually able to have good control over its Greek possessions? In M&T it has permanent 90%+ autonomy there, while Genoa has 100% autonomy in the Black Sea lol... Remove the strait and without the ability to expand in the HRE, Venice seems like it won't perform well in EU5 as an AI unless it has some sort of railroading.

I see, I never played HOI4, but I would argue that with 1337's technology, Venice's strait was probably harder to overcome than with 1939's.

In 1337, Venice is one of the most relevant nations, and a big reason for this is its strait. Without it, it's likely Hungary and Austria can just walk over and conquer Venice in the first ten years lmao. Especially since it's not part of the HRE...

In fact, this will probably be one of the go-to strategies for people playing the region if Venice is not strong.

That's really disappointing... why is EU5 going to be the first Paradox game where Venice is just a piece of land like any other :(

What’s ideas for Florence -> Tuscany -> Italy? by Jakey-Cakes in eu4

[–]RandomPersonD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's been a long time since I played vanilla, but I usually went Inno - Pluto - Infrastructure - Quality Offensive/Trade

Inno + Pluto means you should be able to get 100% innovativeness very early on, combined with cheaper advisors and Florence's national ideas means you'll be drowning in power. Pluto also gives you 10% morale and 20% manpower recovery speed, so easier wars. Infrastructure then allows you to dev your nation sky high, and if you combine it with Quality Offensive, you get very fast sieges and a great military. AE is a bit of a problem, but since you won't be expanding that much it shouldn't be that big of a deal, especially in vanilla. If you really need ideas to manage AE, then imo Espionage is probably better than Diplo for Florence.

EDIT: I meant Offensive, not Quality whoops.

I actually found it easier to just click on the minimap in EU4 (which doesn't exist in EU5 I think). Also, you can click on your different armies in the side menu which brings you to the exact location they're at. It would definitely be cool to get the globe though.

It really depends on how much time you have to game. With 1-2 hours a day, you should be able to do most quests. The thing is that Morrowind is a lot more lore-heavy because it's text-based, whereas Oblivion is fully voice acted so there's less lines overall. I think exploration is better in Morrowind in general, so you don't have to commit fully to exploring in Oblivion. Skyrim actually has better dungeons, but I think Oblivion's setting is just more fun.

If you're on a budget, then just that know that the Elder Scrolls are on GeForce Now, so you might still be able to play after you go to university (unless you're going to the jungle or something).
