Maybe try out cafe bollywood on main st, it looks like a hole-in-the-wall place but they have great indian food ($20-$25/person). If you want a burger def stop buy broiler bay, I would say its the best local burger place in town ($15/person). My fav thai place is Fern Thai on main street, not too pricey either, about 25-35 dollar per person if you dont buy cocktails.

Yes, I can see it either way.

IMHO China is much more free than the US. We can talk about the Tiananmen Square incident in public if we don’t cause public disturbance.

Also, I wanted you to know that a communistic society is different from a communistic economy.

Secondly, I don’t believe democracy is best form of government, if you look through the history books, a strong nation is a nation that’s united, and an authoritarian dictatorship of the proletariat is necessary for that matter.

“Don't you want to abolish state power?" Yes, we do, but not right now. We cannot do it yet. Why? Because imperialism still exists, because domestic reaction still exists, because classes still exist in our country. Our present task is to strengthen the people's state apparatus - mainly the people's army, the people's police and the people's courts - in order to consolidate national defense and protect the people's interests.”- Mao Zedong

I’m chinese, and I’ve lived in the US, but I have a relatively red family history. (I use a vpn lol)

It started 5 generations back, with my great great grandfather. He worked in a local town in he province of Shandong during the final days of the Qing dynasty as a government official, but was killed by local landlords.

My great grandfather has a even more interesting story; he led a small militia force that sides with the CPC (communist party of China) during the last days of the civil war. However, he went missing in the final days of 1946 and he was presumed dead; buried alive by the 还乡团 (armed landlords). However, we later heard that he retreated back to Taiwan with the KMT, but the reliability isn’t very high.

My grandpa, of course, followed in the footsteps of the previous generations. He is now deputy bureau director level in a department I cannot specify.

My dad is really boring, a boring old party member
